This had got to be the absolute worst bank on the planet. I wish I'd went to the REAL Charlotte Metro as this place is a CROCK. I'd rather drive the hour and 15 minutes to an actual CMCU because this one is full of ish. You know when someone submits something whether or not you'll approve them or not. You definitely don't have to wait weeks on end to hear back. Smh. I should have read the reviews first.

I’ve been trying to establish my credit and for the longest I kept hearing from my grandma to “Join the Credit Union, they’ll help you establish credit and it’s easier to get a loan for a car with low rates.” I apply for a small loan of 300 dollars, just to see if I could be approved for a loan. I was approved for the loan with an asterisk by name claiming that they were “Going to give this member a chance.” The rates were great on the loan and I was never late on a payment. When it came time to see if I could get another loan for some car repairs, I was denied. I applied for an auto loan...denied. They claimed that I was being denied because my student loans were popping up as red flags, but they understood my situation when the first loan was approved. Nothing had changed in my situation besides me borrowing money and paying it back on time. Tried to apply for a credit card, that too, was denied. I asked myself, “Why am I even banking with them if I keep getting denied on everything I apply for? What makes them different than any other bank?” Outside of this bank I have been able to be approved for a loan of up to 1,500 from One Main Financial and I now have two credit cards as well, which I have been paying back all on time. All One Main Financial needed to Know was if I was working and how much money I made a month, they called my employer to verify and I was approved. How can a bank institution ask for our money and play with it, but is scared to offer chances in return? Who are y’all to determine my ability to pay things back on time if I’ve never given you a reason to doubt it. I’ve been using my co-pay as a form of credit and I have been putting that money back into my account as well...on time. I have been very unhappy with my experience there and the lines are always long.

People please be diligent in doing your research. I'm sharing my experience to help those who may come across this "bank", beware. Ultimately I ended up filing a complaint with the NCUA. If I could give negative stars I would. I applied for a car loan and got approved 1/15/21 and by 2/5/21 I requested a payoff letter to move the loan to a better place. There were many issues; Staff had no idea of their own policies/procedures, One banker (Anthony Montgomery) didn't know that the bank only takes Visa ( I attempted to make a large payment with my debit card however they wouldn't accept it because it was a Mastercard) while another (Silvia Bastida) attempted to complete a Cash Advance without my authorization and didn't mention that's how she was processing the transaction. Lori Thompson’s, CEO, excuse for this was that the staff forgets. Management, Pat Defoe, tried to require that I come back down to the branch (I drove 1 hr and half) to sign a warranty doc. I had already spent that exact same amount of time in the office trying to complete the signing and going back and forth with management. I absolutely was not driving back down because I could've had made the payment for the warranty had the staff had mentioned that my debit card needed to be a Visa and that they could only process a credit card as a Cash Advance, I would have made sure to provide payment for which they would have accepted however I was told that my debit card was fine. My online account continuously had problems. Initially it wasn't set up correctly by the bank when I attempted to register it there were problems and afterwards there were still problems. According to the member service staff they don't have an IT dept and use Fireserve (outsourced) for their IT needs and so I couldn't get a normal turnaround to obtain access to the account, it was about 5 days after I reached out again. When I requested a payoff over the phone, I spoke to 2 different staff and received 2 different amounts; therefore I thought it was best to get a letter in writing. They sent a debit card that I didn't request for the savings account. I didn't even know you could have a debit card with a savings account, all other banks that I've dealt with would only provide an ATM card. I had to cancel the unrequested card. They were so many more issues as well and I don't want this to be a novel. I sent an email to Lori Thompson, CEO, and she admitted that there were SEVERAL areas of improvements needed as she put it, however she became unprofessional along with Paige Wingler, VP of lending. It's unbelievable how this "bank" operates, deals with members when there's an issue in my case MANY, upper management and their level of unprofessionalism. I have all communications to and from in an email chain. So if this all sounds bizarre, it's not. Customer service was absolutely terrible, website was horrible, from the top to bottom in regards to staff levels were unprofessional, etc. Just be careful with who you decide to do business with and especially handling your money. It was one of the most unpleasant experience(s) that I had dealing with an organization and most importantly unprofessional. Don't let your standards be higher than the business that you are dealing with.

I have had a account with them for over 10 years. I wanted to refinance our commerical van. My husband pays 536 monthly. We wanted to refinance the van and set the payments for 300. They told us today that my husband doesn't make enough money to get approved. We have had the van for 2 years. Getting a loan or refinance with them is impossible.

Just spent 30 minutes in the drive thru making me even later for work. Then the line I was in changed from open to closed so I had to change lines then what do you know that line clears out and people keep pulling up to it. Then when I finally get up there.. there's only 2 tellers working typical the other one is conversing about her evening events.. meanwhile I was on the phone trying to get ahold of someone to see of their atm is fixed and if I can deposit anything because the last time I tried it said their machine was down.. well when I told her what was going on and how long it has taken me in the drive thru she hangs up on me. Horrible service and don't get me started on the loan staff or the loan officer in training that wouldn't loan money for a truck because it's valve was higher than the loan amount. Definitely finding a new credit union

Worst bank ever ! Block your card when you have money so no card over the whole weekend! This has happened three weeks in a row! No explanation but makes me verify transactions not one like 15 each time. They don’t give loans even if your credit is decent I’m switching bank now , navy federal and partnership federal credit union is where you should be great benefits offers you credit cards && much more !!! Also their still punishing for a mistake in college that wasn’t even me it was fraud which they don’t give you funding back for this bank has enraged my soul I honestly see why the turn over rate is so high in employees.

My husband and I have been a member for more than 10 years. Great Tellers inside and the drive-thru window. I see 2 major problems: 1. I have is tried to contact the Credit Union by phone, have the worst problem no one the phone I'm on a time crunch and I have to call back it my take up to five to 10 minutes for someone people to the answer. This is not good for the Greensboro office. Now a days most people do business by phone not in person needs to recognize this for more model technology & employees 2. This office has a problem with Staffing for customer service, I've been on a busy day first of the month, Friday, or end of the month, who knows any day the only customer service representative is the Manager and they may be four to six people waiting on her and she's at lunch. It may wait 1 to 2 hours just to talk to someone I hope these comments will help their Credit Union make some improvements in there business to Credit Union Members. Please CEO read the comments do some improvement with what we as Credit Union Members I'll tell you what's we see is wrong especially at the Greensboro office.

: I submitted a dispute for a fraudulent transaction that happened me back in Jan of 2020. 1st off the dispute specialist have no sense of urgency and interest. I called and made them aware that someone took $1338 from me and the case wasn't even looked at for a month almost. I had to keep calling and asking for updates. I finally revived a letter from Premier requesting additional information about the case. I provided this information to them and called 4 days later to confirm receipt. I was advised that my document was received and being reviewed. FF a month or so later and I get a letter on 4-2 stating that my case was closed due to no correspondence. I call and speak to a few different people who state that it was closed because no documentation was from me,. This is perplexing when a month earlier they confirmed receipt. There is also a certain contact with in Premier that always makes me feel like I am wrong and I not sure why and not happy. Ive retained an attorney for this matter. Ive been a memeber of this credit union since 1999 and feel like I am not treated well at all. I made everyone that I spoke to on 4-2-20 aware I will not under any circumstances pay the $1338. I submitted a balance transfer and did not include that amount
