I've had this bank for a year and a half and I've never once got my phone call answered. Unless you're the type of person that has all the time on the world & can afford to visit this bank 3 times a week, I strongly suggest going with a major bank. There are 0 ATMs without fees within 30 miles, the people on secure messaging don't care for solving your issues and the app is horrible. When walking in the people there are lovely and that's the only good thing I could say about the company. Store your money with somebody else.

I had set up an account with Lexus or lexis but she was awesome !! Very helpful and informative! She let me know about different types of accounts and how they would work for me ! She is awesome and I look forward to banking here !

Great place to store your money. Free of many problems people face with banks, such as fees. Have had a decent experience with them so far. Many unannounced closings during COVID-19... Have gone there several times and while Google announced they were open, the doors were locked.

They ignore you when you walk in. The tellers will converse while you are being “helped” and make you wait. Never more than one teller. Tellers will have long conversations and completely ignore you.

I was rob back in July and they stolen my wallets and I reported to the toll free number and they said I had to pay$10.00 . A local branch notice my my extended length of time with PFCU and waiver the replacement fee. Going inside is much better than call the corporate number. Now that's good old fashioned banking.

Horrible experience with this bank! Apparently if you use your debit card more than 10 times per month you get charged $1 for EVERY transaction after!!! The new account rep NEVER mentioned anything regarding this fee when I was setting up my account even after I asked him countless questions about how their credit union might be different from the last one I was with. He told me there were no fees associated with this specific type of account and that was a complete lie. Then when I called to complain about the fees, the supervisor refused to reverse any of the charges or take responsibility for the lack of information I was provided when opening my account. Worst banking experience ever!!!!!!!!!

I have a checking account, a savings account, a line of credit and a loan. I have been a customer with this bank for over 10 years and I deeply regret all of the time that I have wasted with investing my money in this terrible financial institution. I have a tight budget and pay my bills down to the last dollar. I live paycheck to pay check so I cannot afford for any miscellaneous charges to hit my account. Beware! This bank does not like to waive their bank fees, so you're on your own if your account ever goes negative. I had an unauthorized charge to my account because a credit card payment tried to hit my account twice. I called PFCU customer service and they wanted to charge me $15 to place a stop payment on the charge but wouldn't budge when I asked to have it waived because I am the one being inconvenienced! You want to charge me to protect my account from a transaction that I didn't authorize!? I'm calling to dispute the charge because I don't want to spend any extra money period! I get paid bi-weekly, and I expect to have my acct balance left in tact until I get my next paycheck. The credit card merchant has agreed to refund the $129.50 charge, but you won't place an immediate block to prevent another auto debit of funds out of the acct unless I pay an additional $15!? Whose the scam artist here!? They have a policy, if you caused the issue, they say there is nothing more we can do. I have worked at First Union, Wachovia Bank and Wells Fargo through all of those bank mergers for 8 years and the first thing that I've learned is that there is always something you can do, and to always try to go above and beyond for your customer. In this case I DID NOT cause the issue, but providing the highest level of customer service to protect my account was not even a priority unless I paid them. :( After my loans are paid off I am closing my accounts. I am posting this on every pfcu listing because that is how angry I still am!

I came into this location because online banking is not working and I was also trying to get update on my secure credit card. When I got to the location, I was told that due to covid-19 the branch is only letting people in by appointment, basically no appointments available today and I can't make any online transactions due to online banking not working. After I left, I checked the PFCU website and certain branches are listed for the Lobby to be appointment only or open. This branch on DauphinSt was listed as open lobby. This makes banking with this branch unreliable as the bank is not communicating with it's customers properly.

I've been banking here for over a year and I am consistently disappointed by their outdated processes and small bank inefficiencies. Ever want your balance by phone? They'll give it to you.. as a ONE TIME COURTESY. Don't use your account for 30 days? Expect to have it shutdown without prior notification! I'm on my 3rd account because I use it exclusively for online purchases only and not as my main bank account. Every bank also takes only 1 day to clear a check many times it can be done immediately. Not here at little old PFCU. 2 days minimum. Only $200 made available immediately. Oh and the service? Horrendous. Nearly every employee is arrogant and ignorant. They act like if you don't like how its done you can leave and have so little information and authority they are truly like robots; they just dress the part and play by the script. I literally hate bringing them my business and will be banking with a REAL Credit Union (Eagle One) soon since I am in their area luckily and they are the Postal Workers credit union. American Heritage is also not too far. I am literally headed to PFCU right now to close my personal and business account because of my final horrendous experience trying to get my balance and ask some questions by phone because they make it so difficult to get your account number. Believe me the fees paid at a regular bank are worth it than dealing with the headache of this institution. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: Check deposited on Thursday was supposed to cleared on Monday the 1st. Bank suffers system failure then proceeds to tell me check has a withhold exception for 7 more business days despite me asking the teller if it will clear Monday for sure because I could easily go into a TD Bank and just cash it. They claim I have no deposit history showing deposits that large which is untrue. Then they changed their position to I don't have deposits that large with this specific check issuer! I suspect something seriously wrong with this bank as the management is consistently rude and inept and I always feel uncomfortable and scrutinized. I feel I am being targeted due to my race and appearance. Any other bank would call and verify funds on the spot. They called me back and said they tried that but TD Bank won't verify funds on personal checks only account status! Meanwhile I'm accruing interest charges and penalties and fees while they earn interest on my money. These robber barons must be stopped. It truly is theft even if returned or they cover their butts with "subject to change". I was told I can't even cancel the deposit because it's already being processed and I cannot get my check back!!! My only option they say is to get a letter from TD promising the funds will clear! LOL. CAN YOU BELIEVE I CAN'T EVEN CLOSE MY ACCOUNT I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE 8th!!! PLEASE DO NOT BANK HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO RISK BEING STUCK IN THE BLACK HOLE I AM. THEY WILL SCREW YOUR ENTIRE LIFE UP AND NOT BAT AN EYE! ! !
