Here are a few of my experiences with this company.. We set up auto payments with the manager of a different branch and then came to find out she actually didn’t switch it and I could’ve been charged a late fee if I didn’t pay attention to it. When we went to open an account and different people gave us different information about what we needed or if they needed to pull my credit. I went to deposit two large checks and they misread the checks by thousands of dollars. Customer service reps give different information when we call and in the branch, specifically about setting up auto payments and adding a spouse onto the account.

Absolutely the best branch I’ve worked with amazing staff they are very helpful, definitely have your best interest in mind, and they really just want to help.
Thank you for the feedback, Makai. We appreciate it. I'll make sure the branch staff see this review.

We love our credit union. They have never let us down. Recently, we needed copies of checks for a tax audit and Alyssa went out of her way to help. Even on a crowded day, she stayed calmly professional and was able to email the information to me before day's end. Very impressive and kind.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review and rate us, Susan. We really appreciate it.

Oregon state credit Union by far is the best credit Union To join Craig Williams Of the Kaizer branch is extremely helpful and all the staff are great people and willing to go out their way to make sure you are satisfied with their service I will continue banking getting loans and supporting this credit Union.
That's great to hear, Gary. Thank you. I'll make sure Craig and the team in Keizer sees this review.

Every time I go here, it’s very hit or miss. Sometimes I go, and the clerk is very knowledgeable and genuinely cares about my needs. Other times I go in and the person behind the desk either doesn’t care about the client or doesn’t know what’s going on. I like the company as a whole, which is why I stay with OSCU but this branch has disappointed me more than once.
Hi Bailey. Thank you for taking the time to review us. We appreciate it. Your feedback will help us improve the service experience for all our members.

Whatever you do, do not get an auto loan through this bank. Predatory lending at it’s best. After over a year of being set up on auto pay, we get one call notifying us that we are past due on our payments and owe 500$. We verified that we have paid every single month on-time. The reason they provided was that they didn’t have insurance on file for our vehicle, even though I verified with our insurance company it’s been sent several times.. they will not refund us. Our credit now has a hit (we didn’t even find out from them- we found out via Credit Karma and we also discovered no emails, letters, calls to our primary phone on file, etc were made in an attempt to reach us). We’ve been calling asking if they’ve received the insurance verification but every single time they have said that “that department has left for the day”, despite calling multiple times at different times throughout the day. This bank is an utter and complete scam. This is predatory lending at it’s best. And we are looking at getting our loan switched ASAP. It was no surprise to see other comments of this same thing happening to multiple people as well. I do not typically post things like this, but others need to be aware of this and I hope that no one has the same misfortune we are having to deal with.
We'd like to learn more about what happened with your loan. Can you call our Member Service Center and ask for our assistant director of Centralized Services? That number is 800-732-0173. She works between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

I've always had good, quick and professional service at this location. One employee definitely stands out: Stephanie! She is so sweet and will do everything she can to be helpful and is a very personable employee. She was a great help with a car loan I was applying for and any other time I needed help with banking matters. Definitely deserves a raise for great customer service!
Thank you for taking the time to post this rating and review, Lala. I'll make sure Stephanie sees your kind words.

I have been banking with Oregon State Credit Union for almost 3 years now and in my experience, I find that they are inconvenient and unreliable. I’ve never gone through so many debit cards in my life (they are of very poor quality) and they also like to block your card left and right or change your debit card out for new ones randomly via post. To top it all off, they never post my direct deposit paycheck to my account in a timely manner. They don’t even offer any incentives that make all of this hassle worth it. Done with this bank as soon as my much needed paycheck posts.
Danielle, we are sorry for the frustrating experience you’ve had with your cards. There are a number of reasons a card may be reissued, including fraud protection and our recent upgrade to chip technology. If you would be willing to contact one of our local branch managers, or our call center manager, we can research and may be able to provide a more specific answer regarding your direct deposit. Our number is 800-732-0173. We appreciate your feedback, and hope we have the opportunity to serve you in the future.

Decent enough place. Trying to call or look online yields little to no information on whether a branch is open or closed. I heard that one was closed and spent a while calling and looking online to no avail. I finally got through to someone with a call and they didn't reply after the first greeting and hung up after a few seconds. I just wanted to know whether or not I'd have to go to Keizer or not.
Thank you for reaching out Ashten. You can find the status of each branch on our website at www.oregonstatecu.com/branches-and-atms. As of today (August 26, 2021) all our branches are open. If a branch is closed, we will mark it closed on the website. I hope that helps.

For the most part, this has been an easy bank to work with, I send a check every month and it is processed. I have an auto loan with them. However, there was one time I sent check and cash for my payment, and my cash portion was "lost" so I had to make the rest of the payment to them on my next loan payment. I also noticed on my statement, which is consistently a month behind, that they charged me a late fee for a payment. I looked at the date on my check and when it was post dated and I was within my period of time for the payment to be on time when I mailed it (Aug 29 is when it was post marked) they received it on 9/7 and charged a late fee on it, 9/6 was the date passed the 10 day grace period I have on my loan. When I called to dispute it, they told me that they couldn't help when they received it and that they process payments the day that they get them in. They said they would waive the fee for me and that I should go into a local branch location to make my payment in the future since they cannot control the mail carrier, and I need to never send cash because they can't control if people that open the mail are going to be very honest and take any money they find (REALLY?! So how many times has a customer cash payment been "lost" and they don't look into who opens their mail?! I am aware sending cash is not the best route, and I generally don't do it, but how many people have had that happen potentially.). Anyways...why are the post dates on their payments to them not being looked at so that they see when customers are sending payments, as we cannot control the mail carrier either once we send them, and I am not able to make a trip to a local branch due to my work schedule, because there isn't even a branch that is close to me without going well out of my way, nor should I have to to ensure my payment is processed in a timely manner. I told them that I would be paying attention to any additional fees they are adding from now on, because I was not going to let them try and pull that line and then tell me the next time they charge me a late fee that they already waived one for me as a "courtesy". If my payment is post dated by the USPS over a week before they get it, I sent it to them on time, like I do every month. I wonder how many other customers have been charged a late fee for sending a payment on time, but they didn't get it over a week later. The person I was on the phone with asked if she could place me on a brief hold to look over my account (okay, what is there to look at to try to justify the incorrect charge made to me) after I had already sat on hold for quite some time to even get a person. I waited another few minutes and had to hang up. So I will have to call back and wait some more to make sure that the fee is in fact removed, because I cannot even access my account online because it is an auto loan and they don't offer that for auto loans, at least that is what I was told when I asked about it. And if another fee pops up in the future, I will ask to speak with a branch manager to deal with it.
Hi Jessica. Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand one of our branch managers was able to connect with you to discuss this situation. I’m sorry your experience was frustrating – that’s not what we want for our members. We appreciate your feedback.
