My experience with OpenRoad Lending was one of the best financing options I have encountered. Your staff is well versed in Customer Service. Nesha was awesome. Big Kudos to her and the entire team.

    Response from the owner

Thanks for the feedback William... will be sure to share with Nesha! Thank you again for your business.

I had a great experience with OpenRoad Lending. I recently bought a car, but had a very high interest rate because of a recent BK. OpenRoad was able to lower my interest rate and payment dramatically. The process was very smooth. Thanks so much!!

i cant even give 1 star, they continuously send offers to refinance, i apply, they tell me i am approved, they take all my information, then to tell me i have negative equity on my vehicle and they reported a hard inquiry on my credit report. I got denied the first time so i waited another year for them to tell me this .

I wasn't upset after getting turned down, even though they sent me a letter I was pre-qualified. What upset me, is they sold my name and phone number. I'm getting all sorts of calls from insurance companies stating they are calling on behalf of Open Road Lending.

Fellow Americans, This review may be subject to removal for being honest. This company is preying on and manipulating middle- and lower-class Americans. Their practices are crooked and since the BBB has given them an A+ rating they're crooked as well. My girlfriend financed a Nissan Rogue S last year, 10/2017. The car cost $23,018 and she received an APR of 12.98%. Her current monthly payments are $464.41 for 72 months. She has put $5,108.51 towards the entire loan as of 10/11/2018 (next payment due date). Throughout this year we have received several mailings from OpenRoad that states "FINAL NOTICE", "NOTICE OF OVERPAYMENT", "REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION - CHECK THE ENCLOSED". I ignored most of these mailings until several days ago while my girlfriend and I discussed ways to save money possibly through refinancing. The OpenRoad mailing stated that my girlfriend was "PRE-QUALIFIED" for new lower monthly payments of $356 with annual savings of $1,296. The restructured auto loan had a 5.95% APR. Yesterday we spoke with a representative who stated that the "PRE-QUALIFIED" mailing was derived from information they received from the credit bureau. Supposedly the credit bureau stated that my girlfriend had 'good credit', which I know isn't true based off of her credit score. The representative stated that after we submitted more information the circumstances changed. Now they're offering my girlfriend a 11.67% APR and what seems like a whole new contract; $420.11 for 72 months (w/o GAP coverage). OpenRoad is offering to pay off her car, the payoff amount is $21,143 and refinance that amount at the rate mentioned above. This erases the $5,108.51 she has already paid on the current loan and extends the life of the 'original contract'. If she stays the course with the current contract, she'll be paying $33,437.52 overall ($28,329.01 is the remaining balance). If she refinances, she'll be paying $30,247.92. So, in actuality she'll be paying $1,918.91 extra if we were dumb enough to take this crooked offer (30,247.92 - 28,329.01 = 1,918.91). It's simply bait and switch. The mailing offer would've been $25,632 overall (356 x 72mos) and would've offered 'real savings' amounting to $2,697.01 (28,329.01 - 25,632) …. That was the BAIT. In conclusion, it makes more sense for us to pay up on the current loan agreement. We can use our future tax returns to do so. Or simply practice better spending habits and apply more money to the principal amount. It's unfortunate that these companies are continuously allowed to manipulate hard working Americans who are trying to stay above water. Nobody has our best interests.... so be careful. Good luck out there!

    Response from the owner

Sam - thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. It's impossible for me to explain what might have happened on your girl friends application without a name or application ID#. If you could provide one of those I would be happy to review the file and determine why the original offer wasn't granted.

Do NOT use this...it is very enticing on Credit Karma but a "bait and switch" when you actually apply and the WORST of it -they hit my credit so hard with over 5 inquires to various banks!!! They told me it would fall off in 45 days BUT STILL there! I can't do anything now! :-( In your response. NO they could not give me a better payment or rate or I would have changed that! And still 60 days later the inquires are still on my credit report - After I called and was told "they only stay on 45 days"!

    Response from the owner

Kimberly - thank you for your comments. We attempted to find you the best offer in the market and disclosed such on the application before you submitted it for financing. It does look like we were able to cut your interest rate almost in half from your current rate. I am sorry if you feel you were misled and I hope we can earn your business in the future.

I give 2 stars because the customer service was great BUT...yes there is a BUT. I'm not so sure if going with them was my best option. I wish I had of waited until a better opportunity had come along because to be honest I feel like I have been had with this whole process. I was told i would be paying my car at a lower rate when in reality after I signed on with them my rate wasn't really lowered at all. I'm still paying pretty much the same interest rate but now I've signed on to do this for another 5 years which I would have been done in about 2. I feel i was told something different on the phone then somewhere on the paper work it changed after there was some confusion with my paystub that they couldn't figure out when they told me something didnt match when it did. Since I've already signed up for this it's what ever but now I wished I had of waited until a better opportunity presented itself because to me this was a major waste of time. If I had known they were going to jack up the price on me, I would have definitely took my business elsewhere.

    Response from the owner

Hi Ke-Ke, thank you for your review. I pulled your account and what you have stated above isn't actually true. You had 42 payments remaining on your old account and were given an option to refinance at that same term at a similar payment. It looks like you were interested in getting the lowest possible payment which was a 60 month term option at a payment $80 per month less than you are paying now. You are always able to choose what term you want on our loans, it is always up to the customer to decide. In your case the good news is all of our loans are simple interest with no pre-payment penalties so you can pay more or early at any time without a penalty.

They are frequent liars and say they have a low interest loan for you, and give a low rate after running your credit, and when everything is said and done, they come out and give you a higher apr for the loan and dont say it til the last minute, They said I got an 8.25 rate for rafi and then when i was finalizing things they came out and said nothing until i asked and were giving me a 12.5 percent, total fraud. Take it from experience. R. Vlasac. 03,03,2021

It all started with them sending several pre-approved letters on mails, so I thought I'd give it a shot and ultimately initiate a refinance. My agent was ALesha H. Saying she's the worst is an understatement. I get the whole "sales" business mentality but what she did throughout the time frame i dealt with her is plain EVIL. She wasted my time and energy asking several times for the exact documents (now i understand the reason why), at the end she said everything was set and ready to go, just for me to receive an e-mail a few minutes later stating THEY ARE SORRY BUT THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCEPT MY INCOME AS INCOME, therefore my application is denied. THE MOST ABSURD THING I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. When i called for an explanation she said she would bring the issue to manager's attention and try her best to get an override or whatever and that I WILL GET A CALL BACK SHORTLY. THE DAY WENT BY- NO CALL BACK, NO EMAIL. I CALLED THE NEXT DAY TO FOLLOW UP AND I GOT A MESSAGE FROM THE AUTOMATED MACHINE THAT MY APPLICATION IS NO LONGER IN THEIR SYSTEM. That was my experience with Open Road Lending. I WOULD SAY THINK TWICE BEFORE DECIDING TO GO WITH THEM, THEY'RE SIMPLY HORRIBLE.
