I’ve been with this bank for over 30 years and I’ve had it! They’ve never had good customer service and their services are recently dwindling all together. What kind of a bank doesn’t offer teller services? Only in Reno, they offer teller services in Las Vegas so what are we here in Reno? Unworthy, of the convenience of dealing with a live person? Over the years, I have been treated rudely by the tellers time & time again and every time I thought, “I need to move my accounts” well I’m done! The last time I was at the branch a guy was cleaning the drive-through ATM. Since they cut the teller service don’t you think at least they would add another drive-thru ATM machine? Not this bottom feeder credit union. They don’t care about customers. I WILL really take my money out of here now & move it somewhere else! I’m currently researching to find a different credit union. This IS the worst credit union I’ve experienced.

I recently purchased a car through a dealership and the financing was taken out through OneNevada Credit Union. I have another car loan through Great Basin and they provide excellent service so I expect the same or similar from this new credit union I had never used. That's absolutely not the case. They make it very difficult to give them money. Yep, figure that one out... Can't pay with a Debit card in the branch because they process it in a way that the external bank treats like a cash advance so it exceeded my bank's daily limit (apparently?), can't pay by credit card without a fee, etc.... I was called by a rep today asking for payment and she was nice enough to waive the processing fee and take my payment over the phone. When I expressed my frustration with the way things were handled so far, I was told, "Well, no other banks would approve the loan term you wanted so this is what you have to do now". Almost like a stab at me. Then, she said, "I waived the fee and took your payment and now you're just making excuses". That was immediately followed by her saying "Have a good day" and hanging up. Really? I recommend that you find another credit union or bank and skip these guys.

I have been with this credit union for 20 years with no complaints but during the last 4 years the service has declined greatly. presently they only have one branch open in Reno, Nevada. For the past year they had a window with a teller open only 2 days a week, Monday and Friday. Now they no longer offer the window teller service. They expect customers to do their banking business with an ATM machine. I am planning to take my banking business elsewhere.

This is the worst bank I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I purchased a car from a dealership in Reno, and they set up the loan. The credit union did not send me any information until after the first payment was due. When I called to explain why I hadn't paid the payment, the very rude person who took my call told me that I should have just sent a check even though I had no idea where to send it nor did I have an account to send it to. Since then I have been sending my checks to the credit union, and instead of applying them to my loan they are depositing them into a share account. I have been trying to call them for a week and still have not spoken to anyone, I leave messages but do not get a call back. This is by far the worst credit union ever. I will be paying the loan off and getting a loan from a different institution.

The WORST credit union experience ever! What janky bank only has tellers on Monday & Friday? This one. But if you use a teller/banker 3 or more times in 30 days, they charge you. You must use your card as a visa 15+ times in a month not to incur a checking fee charge......but if the last day of the month falls on a weekend when you use your card for the 15th time, it won't clear til the next business day (even though you have the reciept that it was still WITHIN that month), you get charged for not having your 15 transactions......even though ON THEIR OWN WEB PAGE, IN BLACK & WHITE IT SPECIFYS 'IN A ONE MONTH PERIOD', NO where on their site does it state 'unless the last day falls on the weekend'. As with what others have said, the customer service is horrible. Everyone that works there seems pissed off to be there & even more pissed off when you bother them to do their job. A few years ago when we opened the account they said they were opening a sparks location, not only did they not, but the one & only reno branch is like a ghost town. Their customer service.....or lack there of, the continual loss of benefits, but addition of even more fees has not only prompted us to switch banks, but we are also pulling our loan. They have a 'secure' atm inside a lobby that you have to run your bank card to unlock the door to get to it.....that'd be great......IF the door lock EVER worked! How is that any more secure than some random outside one? At one point their atm & the online check deposit wouldn't take my checks, they cited that the font on the check could possibly be too small 'so I should request that the payroll company change the way they do their checks'......did she seriously just say that? Because I had never had an issue w other atms depositing my checks before nor did I have any issues doing phone deposits with other banks previously (same payroll Co). Don't waste your time here, I don't think they are going to have a nor nev location for much longer anyway at the rate they do business.

This is about the worse financial institute I ever deal with. I have a checking account with them for almost two years but I have to stop doing business with them. Last month I found a transaction on my statement that I did not authorize. I contacted the merchant and the merchant confirmed that it was not my charges. I was told by the merchant to file a chargeback because he could not issue a refund over 30 days. I went into the bank to request for a chargeback, the lady told me that the bank has an agreement with VISA that they will honor all pre-authorized transactions and paid all charges even the account does not have enough funds on it. This is really the first time I ever heard in American history that a bank will keep on paying charges without funds in the account. I asked the lady if she would reverse the fees, she said she would not do not. I asked if the bank can close the account and open another one to avoid further unauthorized charges, she said the bank cannot do that. I asked her if she would re-issue another debit card so that no one else can keep on charging, she said they cannot do that. As a result, I paid for the unauthorized charges, on top of the overdrawn fees, and permanently closed the account to avoid further unauthorized charges. That is one bad experience. Another one, the line is so long and so slow, I spent almost 30 minutes standing in line to close the account. AVOID THIS BANK. It is very very bad. Totally no protection for customers and no customer services. I know that other banks, like most VISA and Mastercard, once there is an authorized transaction, the bank will immediately suspended the card and re-issue another one, most banks will not hold cardholder liable for unauthorized transactions. However, if you want to keep on charging even there is no funds in the account, One Nevada will be your answer because I was told by their bankers that they have an agreement with VISA that they will pay any charges, as long as they are pre-authorized by the account holder, even there is no funds in the account, how amazing. Also, the merchant that I contacted for the unauthorized transaction, they told me that they ran my card the next time, it was declined. It contradicted with what the lady in the bank told me.

I absolutely love this credit union. I have been a member since 1994, and they are always available, and when i have had issues, they have given me the benefit of the doubt, and waived fees for my advantage. I recommend them to anyone wanting to change from a bank.

They have poor investment bankers as well. They invested $200,000 of a 91 yr old's money in a stock that went bankrupt in less than a year and is now paying .00397+++ cents on the dollar in their reorganization. I never cared for their account rules or not-so-customer-friendly attitude. But, some people are bullheaded and when they become 91 arguing is not the best choice. Just thought it was important to pass on.

This is the worst financial institution I have ever had the displeasure of being a "customer" of. There are a myriad of reasons as to why I think this. I will touch on a couple. First, every single time I walk into the Reno branch on Plumb Lane, I am treated as if I'm a nuisance. I have never seen a smile on a single person's face that works there. Every single person has always had a scowl on their face. When I approach the window, they look at me as if I have intruded in their personal space. They are constantly rude, abrupt, and they act as if any request, no matter how small, is the end of their respective world. They have the little "Tell us how we're doing" sheets right there, but who is going to fill out a bad review on a piece of paper IN FRONT OF THE TELLER?! It's insane! One of the managers, a woman, has never been pleasant to anyone. She deals with customer complains rudely and with little regard for the customer's side of anything. I've witnessed two instances where customers have clearly been wronged by the bank, and the manager's response was akin to "Oh? Not my problem." No apology, no "let me see what I can do" -- nothing. I was appalled, to say the least. The cherry on the cake: today, I was called by the credit union to inquire as to where my car payment was. I informed them that, like every month, my bank sends them the check through 'auto bill pay'. I had the transaction record in front of me. Clearly audible in the background, a woman said "Oh no, he does this every month. It's a lie." Excuse me? Madam, I have absolutely no idea who you are, but you are offensive, and you have committed defamation. The gentleman on the phone (I believe his name was Danny) was equally as rude, brash, and disrespectful. When I told them that I have the check number, he said "I don't need that, it goes to a processing center." The tone was extremely rude. I am simply disgusted with my collective experiences at One Nevada. I will never open another account with them for any reason, regardless of the rates they're offering. I would rather pay twice the interest rate if I knew I would be treated with respect. One Nevada does not deserve my business, and they don't deserve yours either. Traffic is horrendous, and getting in and out of that complex is a nightmare. I know this isn't the bank's fault, but it adds to the overall experience. I wish Yelp would allow for zero (or even negative) stars. One star is simply too much for this failure of a financial institution. One Nevada, I simply hope you go out of business, and quickly. I can't be the only one who has been disparaged by your extremely poor customer service.
