I dont have loans but I work for nelnet and I think this is the best job I've ever had. I see reviews about bad pay but im above $20 an hour so idk where that comes from. The longest job I've ever had, 2 years now (I'm 24yrs old). They do alot of fundraising for the community and they honestly care about their employees. Of course there are some leadership you won't like at any job tho. Also they have a great attendance policy and they really work with me. I've also heard from people that we do have really good customer service and I know for me at least I got good training and go above and beyond to help customers.

Terrible company that is unwilling to do anything to help you. I have a student loan that had an old email address and physical address that have since changed. They made no attempts to contact me outside of the email address provided (that mind you does not work any longer because it doesn't exist), and instead sent my bill to collections. Meanwhile, I sent a letter to them asking to remove the negative mark on my credit report (I am trying to purchase a home) and they were unwilling to do so. Guess it doesn't matter to them because they aren't affected.

If you love an employer not trusting you, not respecting you, and generally feeling they can treat you however they want because they pay you a decent wage, I highly recommend working for this place. If on the other hand you are someone with self-respect, stay the f*** away from this place.

This a very large corporation that can use it's massive size to take advantage of individual borrowers. This company bought out my wife's student loan from another company and may have modified the legal terms of our previous loan agreement. This company also takes the unjust liberty to automatically put loans in forbearance/deferment without your consent. Please be vigilant my friends. I honestly hate to post negative reviews but due diligence and concern for my countrymen prompted this post.

Nelnet student loans is the same company as HomeAdvisor with to 300 employees in Lincoln Nebraska in an eight-story building if you're looking for them. They're the largest criminal crime ring in America and nobody does anything about it. Nelnet student loans - Home Advisor They're into two hundred different scamming professions. But the sign on the door does not say Home Advisor it says Nelnet student loans. HomeAdvisor it runs all these ads online 20 and $30 locksmith too-good-to-be-true deals. With all the crime they do I would never let them handle my student loan. You'll probably get your ID identity stolen later down the road. The scams home advisors involved in our locksmithing air duct cleaning carpet cleaning linoleum tile floor installers dog walking pet sitting cars for sale boats for sale homes for sale apartments for rent women and men catfishing online. The cars boats apartments homes you will never get. They're involved in Towing scams he pay the middle band company and they send another tow man out and you got a big mess in the tub and then wants to be paid. So all this country could do in the state that it happens in as legislate jobs. And HomeAdvisor is not licensed trained or insured in most every state they work there a joke they're nothing but a criminal crime ring that belongs under the jail. In locksmithing they ask what ZIP codes you are in whatever you call them. They charge someone $7,000 to open up a home in New York City. In another area they charged a lady $750 to put in for docks and the lady was new to the area in another state and she asked the locksmith scammers not knowing they were locksmith scammers. Do you know anybody to clean my carpets they come out there with another group of guys clean the carpets for $1,500. And I kept asking or did anything else happen because I know how this crime ring works and she said later people were calling her up claiming to be soldiers from overseas knitting checks cashed. And her husband caught on to that and put it into it. These guys are sharks and if you investigate him like I do they will send the Hitmen out on you to try to scare you and back you off from calling their call center. But you got to be strong they're not going to do anything they can't call the law because there any legal criminal crime ring. And they'll say they have nothing to do with home advisor or Nelnet student loans. But never called them from a trackable phone number that has any of your information on it. I once called these guys from a another phone I was connected with online and they tore the phone's off the hook for several days in a row. They kept calling and calling and calling and calling until finally I tapped out and told him I'll never call them again. There are a very bad group of individuals. There are strength in numbers below probably will not do anything about a single isolated case but if a bunch of people got together and went to the local law enforcement in Lincoln Nebraska they might do something about it. But HomeAdvisor will never call the law on anyone. Nelnet student loans I'm not sure about since they run the crime ring right there in the office building of Nelnet student loans they answer the phones for Home Advisor they are home advisor as far as I'm concerned. And they're protecting HomeAdvisor which it's their same company. So if you find out HomeAdvisor is Nelnet student loans and go to get your money back that the scam from you you will be escorted off the premises because they have a guard there in that eight story seven or eight story building. And I'm sure Nelnet student loans will say we only answer the phones for home advisor if they even tell you that at that point. The name before HomeAdvisor it was ServiceMagic with bad reviews and burning everybody to their up to the same thing again. You must be persistent to get your money back when they scam you. Because in these 200 professions all the law knows how to do or I should say government is pass a law that screws everybody in the state that they're scamming.

Bunch of crooks. A few months ago I switched my student loan auto payments from my bank to my wife's bank because I needed to stop using my bank account. Everything was cleared and confirmed so I was surprised when the payments kept coming out of my bank account, each time costing me an overdraft fee of $28. When I called customer service they said that auto debit can only be from the account with my name on it and that's why they kept taking money from my old account. I said it would have been nice to know that at the time and was told it would have been in the fine print of when I switched. Refused to reimburse not even a single of the overdraft charges. What a scam :(

It’s sketchy to me that your account status can be changed behind the scenes without any documentation being sent to the borrower. My account was in a 90-day forbearance that was suddenly removed after 39 days without informing me. The payment that would have been due on the 22nd day of forbearance was then listed as “past due” on the 39th day even though it was in forbearance on the due date! How is this right??? The woman I spoke to on the phone couldn’t explain what happened and told me I would have to make the payment or put in a request for a financial hardship.

Nelnet is the absolute worst company to push any loans u need through. They are an overcomplicated, non-transparent loan company that is set up to help u fail. Whatever u do watch your credit score because this company will attach multiple negative accounts to your credit report for borrowing 1 sum of money from them. I cannot explain the frustration after cleaning up your credit for over a year and low and behold nelnet will come along and "help" you put with that too. My advice get your money from another source.

Nelnet bought out my student loan and bought it from one account and then spread it on my credit report as 7 open accounts. After calling them they refuse to do anything about it which is affecting my credits bottom line. The Fair Credit Reporting Act states that this is against the law.
