I’ve purchased a handful of homes over the years using other lenders. This was my first experience with Neighbors Bank, and I must say, it was outstanding. I worked with Lyndsy Richardson and Schelsea Smith and they were not only so polite and delightful, they made the whole process smooth and comfortable. Whenever there was a potential hiccup, they were always reassuring and went out of their way to work with me on it. They were my teammates in the process and looked out for me every step of the way. The system for uploading documents was easy to use and I never had any hassles in any aspect. From start to finish they were fantastic. I gave them a 5-star rating only because I couldn’t give them 6. If I ever buy a property again, I won’t use any other lender. Neighbors Bank is the best I’ve ever seen.

We used Neighbor's Bank for our current home loan. This was the easiest financial transaction that I have been involved in. Sam made everything so easy and worry-free for us. As a real estate Agent I would never advise my clients to accept an offer from this bank. Mackoy Staloch is extremely unprofessional and incompetent. He has no regard to deadlines nor terms of contracts. After days of trying to reach his manager he has become completely unresponsive.

Went through my second home purchase with loan officer David Nagel and pipeline manager Deb Anderson at Neighbors Bank. It was a conventional purchase with about a 35-day close, and the whole process was painless. I felt good about pricing and David and Deb were both very knowledgeable, responsive, and on top of things throughout the escrow period. We closed this past Monday!

Let me just start by stating that in the beginning our experience with Neighbors Bank was great. However once we got assigned to Justin Baden everything went downhill. When we initially inquired he lost complete communication until we contacted him again and he admitted he had forgotten. He is very unresponsive, my Realtor and I had to ask him multiple times to get anything done, we'd go days without hearing anything at all. My wife just gave up calling Justin in general because he wouldn't respond and would call me a day later not answering the question. The week we were supposed to close we maybe heard from him twice. He was also very unprofessional, he'd reem - cuss out and disrespect our realtor, and I. He caused our loan to get so behind in the loan process that we called his higher ups to complain. Justin then calls us directly after - saying, "DO WE HAVE A PROBLEM?!" He also told us to stop asking him for updates. We ordered our appraisal and nothing was scheduled, our realtor had to get involved to initiate it. We ourselves had to reach out to Apex customer support to hear anything about it. Our completed appraisal sat at neighbors for 3 days without anyone noticing, we had to tell them it was there. We left Schelsea Smith (our pipeline coordinator) 5 voicemails and multiple emails, she never replied to one. We didn't hear from her until our final approval came back from the USDA and we were ready to close. The day before closing our title company never received or file from neighbors, we were panicked and called many times no one answered, after promising they'd get us closed. Our original closing date was supposed to be July 10th and we closed the 14th because of poor communication. Justin could have sent our file over to USDA right after the final underwriting but decided to wait until the re-inspection for the appraisal came back causing the late closing. Every ounce of joy and excitement was drained from our first home buying experience because of neighbors bank and Justin Baden. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else. Justin completely shattered all respect I had for Neighbors bank and I will never recommend it to anyone again. We initially thought it would be a simple and safe home buying experience due to covid, since it was all online, but we were wrong. If I could give Neighbors zero stars I would.

I am sorry that you, nor your wife Autum, felt fully supported throughout your journey, that would never be our intent and is certainly disappointing. Often times there are many moving pieces to your loan and there are instances that may cause a delay in your process or communication, but we will never stop trying to solve those hurdles and move forward. Once our client advocate team was made aware of potential concerns and able to identify possible solutions, your file was sent to our “Rush” department to ensure things moved as swiftly as possible to close. I am not able to attest to all of the communication throughout your process, though we do have a dedicated experience team who will be able to verify the information provided with which we will internally evaluate and determine our best practice in moving forward. I see that a member of my team, Michael, was able to shift gears with regard to communication and get you to that finish line so that you could close on the home of your choosing. One of the concerns was on the day of your closing, your loan officer was out of the office due to a loss and service in his family, however there would have been a person of contact via your loan team who should have been able to navigate your questions or concerns. When we are given the chance to be better, we truly accept that offer because when you know better, you do better! I wish I could give this review more than five stars. Justin Baden was our loan officer on our mortgage and did an outstanding job for us. Buying a house can be very overwhelming and Justin walked us through every step to make sure that we felt comfortable with our decisions. He was even able to get our appraisal fee waived somehow. If you are thinking about buying a home I would look no further than Justin and Neighbors Bank for your mortgage needs. We seriously couldn’t be happier.
