Navy Federal Credit Union TX, The Colony

Navy as a whole is definitely the worst bank I’ve ever experienced…for personal and business accounts. The business options for day to day business transactions are definitely stuck in the last century. Everything takes days to get handled, which makes the customer have to drive 20-30 minutes to the branch for help. Today I visited this location and the teller clearly hasn’t been trained on discretion. From her loudly confirming i’d like to withdraw $5k to her slapping the money down in front of me without envelope. I’m guessing my shocked facial expression made her ask if I’d like a envelope. Thank goodness I wasn’t robbed. Definitely closing all of my accounts here soon. It’s not for me or my company.

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is bc the vehicle loan application process is really simple. I had to apply for THREE DIFFERENT auto loans bc of their process if you need more money etc..In ONE WEEK my interest rate changed from 5.49% to 8.19%, I believe bc I had to do 3 DIFFERENT loans. My advice to anyone seeking an auto loan from Navy Federal is to apply for a pre-approved amount for the absolute top dollar you can afford. This way if u have to go thru several different vehicles, you don't end up screwing up your credit bc of their reapply policies. They "claim" it's bc the board of directors raised the rates but I am positive they didn't raise it 3%.

Miss Antoine at the Navy Federal Credit Union Colony Branch is a true Superstar, Full of smiles, very nice & knowledgeable! She made my process of becoming a new member very pleasant and enjoyable with much ease getting the app and accounts all set up. I will be sending all of my family and military friends to you! Navy Fed is a great organization, I've banked with them over 16 years. This review is for the branch in The Colony Texas. I went in and spoke with the customer service representative in the front and asked her if you can request NFCU to release funds early for IRS refunds. She replied "No we can not" which was incorrect. I called the main number and was informed that you can, they just don't do it at that branch. Which would have been better information to give to a member then just no. All you need to do is call Navy Fed and they can do it over the phone, you don't need to go into any branch for that actually. Keep your representatives informed so they are giving out useful and correct information to service members please. Other then that I get what I'd usually expect from any NFCU branch, good customer service... except for that Nathan guy. I don't know who runs this branch but Nathan exemplifies world class customer service. Every time I go in the Colony branch he goes above and beyond to help me and I see him do it for ever NFCU member he interacts with. I expect he'll probably be managing his own branch in the not too distant future if the current manager of this one is paying attention.

Yeah they’ll get their claws in you if you give them enough time.

I'm sorry that others might have experienced less than stellar customer service but my experience was AWESOME. Danielle treated me with dignity and respect and everyone I came in contact with was very helpful, including opening the door for me as I'm limited in my mobility. I also bank at Chase but NFCU will be my fulltime bank going forward.

Brand new location (at the time of this review)! Very nice layout, simular to other NFCU locations. This new location in The Colony is a lot more convenient for me.

Rudest people at The Colony/Frisco Texas location. Greeting was horrible…unprofessional & unfriendly!!! We were told over the phone that we could come to our nearest location to set up a student loan for our daughter’s college tuition. Rudely told NO that we were wrong and that it could only be done online! We were not given a chance to explain or say anything. Horrible place! If you can go somewhere else or anywhere else please do!!! This is supposed to be an exciting time for our daughter ~ big eye opener of how awful people are at Navy Federal!!!
