My Kid's Dentist & Orthodontics Commons St, Lone Tree

Horrifying experience for my kid. Worst experience with a dentist ever. My kid had two teeth that needed root canals I was told the first appointment. Second appointment was an emergency when one of my kids cavity tooth chipped. The dentist decided that my son just needed them pulled and I believe one of them could of been saved by a root canal (I have the teeth). She was rude to her staff, to my kid and my husband. Overly rough, complete with eye rolling, unprofessional and did not explain the procedure. When my husband tried to console my sobbing/screaming son she was mean. DON'T EXPOSE YOUR KIDS TO THIS TERRIBLE PLACE. Go somewhere else. My kid was traumatized and in tears and I am angry if one of his teeth could of been saved instead of yanking it out of his head. They don't care about kids here in my experience.

The doctor that my son saw was very unprofessional and told us we needed to get him into therapy because he was afraid of having someone holding him down while cleaning his teeth. He has seen the male doctor before but never this female doctor and she got upset that he was upset. My son is autistic and the fact that she told us he needed to get into therapy is not ok. She is a dentist for CHILDREN and was upset that he was afraid of her and the sounds? We will be finding another dentist due to this experience.

Why is going to the dentist becoming more and more like going to the mechanic? This was ridiculous! I decided to find a dentist closer to home when my son turned three and needed his first dental appointment. They did great with him. I went back a week later and had a terrible experience. I went in to get my teeth cleaned and get xrays taken. I was told an initial appointment would take 90 minutes. It would have taken over two hours. It is not a streamlined practice. I had a conference with the dentist, then they took xrays. Then the dentist recommended a rinse for $90 extra. Then he was very insistent on a crown for a tooth with a filling that didn't have any symptoms. He also found 3 more cavities. There was more waiting and then the insurance woman was in front of me with an estimate of $1,000 (with insurance). It was 3:15. My apt had started at 2. Finally someone came in to clean about 3:20... the polisher first and then the hygienist. It was painful, she was rushed, and I was told I had gingivitis. I had to leave at 3:50, so I can't imagine they cleaned my teeth well. I opted for none of their suggestions and took my teeth to a second opinion. :( I went back to my old dentist for a second opinion. He was confused about the recommended rinse (saying he only does that for children if necessary). He told me that he would not jump to a crown on a tooth without symptoms. It looked normal for a tooth that had had a filling for some time. If I had symptoms, he would first remove and replace the filling (this was not an option for me at My Kid's Dentist) and then decide, but why fix something that's not broken? Then he only found 2 small cavities. He did not see gingivitis and he was quite confused about the billing estimates. My son and I will not be returning to My Kid's Dentist - it was a ridiculous experience. Dr. Seevers off of Belleview and Quebec is who I would recommend. They are friendly, prompt, thorough, and reasonable (and extremely gentle with your mouth).

Dr. Dylan and his staff gave my 8 month old and myself the best experience. I was really nervous taking my 8 month old for his first cleaning. From the moment we walked in the door, the front staff had the biggest smiles on their faces and made us feel welcome. The Dental Assistant (Ariel) had my son giggling when she first walked up to great us and bring him back. She was able to complete his cleaning in a timely manner, and the Dr. Dylan was able to complete the exam! My little guy has no cavities and help his dental visit with a smile on his face! Thank you to the entire staff for making this experience amazing!

My son has seen several pediatric dentists at this clinic over the years. The staff is always friendly, the assistants always take time to talk with him and us, making sure we understand what is going on. However, I have really noticed a change since Dr. Lam bought the practice and the entire culture has changed for the better. More engagement, she checks in and makes sure we are happy and having a good experience and overall just a better feel. Plus place is cleaned up, like never before.

Dentist was very rude and annoyed by my two year old not wanting to open his mouth. If you don’t like kids and can’t handle them don’t be a kids dentist!! Very unprofessional!! Also seems as if they are making up things people need when not needed!!
