Montreat is amazing. Came for the youth conference this year. Rooms are cozy (mine had a nice view of the courtyard) and meals in Assembly Inn are also pretty good! Really enjoyed staying here.

I go to the Presbyterian Youth conference in the summer and absolutely love it. Montreat is a place where youth of all sorts feel happy and have joy. Its a beautiful place and black mountain is amazing.

A big thank you to Montreat Conference Center! Every detailed was beautifully displayed and executed for our ladies retreat! The setting is gorgeous and the staff is amazing. Sarah Skinner is exceptionally excellent at her job in preparing for our visit. We hope to return very soon because of her. THANK YOU for making our retreat at Montreat such a success.

Photographed a wedding here in November of 2017 and loved it. There were so many great locations to shoot around the campus and on the hiking trails just up the hill from the campus. I really appreciated that everything was so close - the bridesmaids got ready in a house on campus, the groomsmen in the hotel, the ceremony was at Black Mountain Pres, then the reception back on campus. It made my job super simple and allowed for an easy timeline! I'd love to come back and photograph here anytime!

How you shamefully handled the manipulation, lies and deception, plus the sheer destruction of everything historical Montreat assures I will never have anything to do with a Presbyterian church again...ever. What was wrong with Ridgecrest...or like BGEA did...go outside the gate and pick any land you want? Presbyterians should be horrified. May this NOT be blessed.

Absolutely beautiful and the perfect place for our wedding!! They were so accommodating of all our requests. The gorgeous stone of the Upper Anderson chapel and the amazing beauty of the outdoor campus itself provided for the best décor for our wedding. Thanks so much!!

Life changing. From setting to staff, I felt the whole experience on a new level. Summer high school conferences work miracles through everyone. I was a camper for ninth through twelfth grade, and want to continue being involved. The Anderson Auditorium, the Huckleberry, the creek, Lake Susan, even every little open field was sublime. Both the creek and lake Susan have perfect trees for setting up a hammock for a peaceful nap. The beauty of the location matched with the friendliness and openness of everyone there is what makes the Montreat experience so surreal. Thank you Montreat!!!!!!!!!

A wonderful, low-tech stay surrounded by the beautiful forests and mountains of Montreat. It does not get more relaxing!

We love Assembly Inn, located in a welcoming Presbyterian community. The site overlooks Lake Susan and has a commanding view of Lookout Hill. It's within walking distance of trail heads, the auditorium, the dance barn, the tennis center, resident cottages, & much more. The stone walls of Assembly Inn are infused with prayer.
