I consistently receive poor customer service when coming to this branch. If I can wait on making a deposit or withdrawing cash, I will go out of my way to go to another branch in Tempe just to not deal with the Camelback location. Cashing in coins was not a pleasant experience either, the members seemed to have attitude about having to help with anything. We ordered my boyfriend a new debit card while at the branch and it never showed up in the mail, come to find out the branch never placed the order for us. The Tempe branches have always offered to print a card right there on the spot, this location didn’t even offer it. When coming to the drive thru for deposits/withdraw the staff answers the window “hello” and nothing else. Where other branches say, “hello, how are you? How can I help you today?” I feel like an inconvenience coming into this branch when I shouldn’t… I’ve been a customer for 10 years now when they only had like 3 branches in the valley. And it’s not just me who gets poor service, my boyfriend also gets attitude whenever he goes alone and we have separate accounts. I don’t write poor reviews for places unless it happens on multiple occasions, I’ve had terrible service every time I’ve come to this branch in the last two years.

The customer service at the Camelback office of MidFirst Bank is exceptional. For complex transactions you should schedule an appointment with a banker. But teller services are always available and excellent.

The quality of customer service at Midfirst bank is minimal. Seems like people are only there to punch numbers and fill a seat. There isn't any consistency. Meaning whomever you talk to you can receive a whole different set of information than somebody else. They say you receive a referral of $50 for helping a friend or family member get an account but told me today it was $25 dollars. Kevin stated sometimes it is $50, and even during their hold music it is says $50. Times are tough and I shouldn't have to fight over a promotion that they advertise all the time! They gave partial referral of $25. If possible avoid doing business with this bank.

This bank has gone downhill. Service is terrible. Wait times in the branches are not acceptable. I'm out. The service is outstanding a USA Bank! I moved my accounts there and it is so convenient.

Decent bank with actual good online and phone help. But in person this location is under staffed. Tellers are unable to do simple tasks without manager verification when a manager is not on the floor.

I’m so disappointed in MidFirst. They were once a small, boutique bank that provided exceptional customer care and now operate like every other big bank. I’ve been a customer for over twenty years and have been so disappointed that I am closing my accounts today. The fact that I’m willing to spend hours setting up accounts with my new bank, change direct droplets, bill pays, Venmo’s, etc, should be an indicator of how terrible their service has become. Just look at the canned response to all the negative reviews below. It’s really quite pathetic.

Update3/16/22: Sticking with MidFirst, I can say they have turned some things around and service is a lot better compared to my original post below. Needs are being met! I moved my small business accounts to MidFirst a few months ago and am regretting it. It's been nothing but headaches since opening my accounts. Poor customer service. People say one thing and do another and do not follow through. I have no confidence in this institution.

I opened both a personal and business account here and have had several challenges with both since the start. First, I waited over an hour to get my personal account open, then the banker forgot to give me a debit card, so I had to go back. Then, I deposited checks into both accounts and they were both held for 10-14 days, an astronomical amount of time in the 21st century. I am a new business owner trying to get started and cannot afford to wait 2 weeks to get moving because my bank is outdated and slow. Then, when I tried to order checks they told me it was going to be $183 for 252 business checks. Very disappointed with this banking experience and looking forward to closing both accounts as soon as possible.

I love this bank! My family used to bank with Bank of America and Wells Fargo. I was with them with for decades and felt like I was just a number. Every transaction was cumbersome and I was constantly solicited to use products that I did not need. We moved to Midfirst after doing a lot of research and we are so so happy. Great customer service, beautiful banking centers, and easy to use.

I am unsure of how we got to 4 stars as the wait time for checks clearing and fees on new accounts are outrageous. You can see for yourself but be patient as they have some pretty substantial computer issues on the back end of things. Nothing personal. Just trying to warn the newcomer. We're closing our business and personal accounts as soon as we can get down to the branch.
