    I had been banking with them since I moved to Wichita a few years ago. Going from a small town credit union to Meritrust was quite a difference. With my time at this bank I had personal accounts business accounts and loans. I left due to the poor customer service and as I was closing my accounts not a single employee cared to know why I was closing them all. That should tell you what you need to know about Meritrust. You are literally just a number to them.

    Can I go below one star. I have never dealt with a bank/credit union that worked so hard at not accepting payments. You cant make a payment using your debit card inside their building. They will instruct you to use the ATM outside in the drive thru. That wont give you the option to make a payment. Then I tried setting up my online account. After putting in all the information it said I already had an account. Then their website asked me to verify who I was using my account number, social, and birthdate. Then told me my birthdate was wrong. I then asked for them to send me my username via email thinking maybe I did already set this up. Never received the email. Ive tried calling several times. Been place on hold for over an hour before giving up. They do give the option to call you back, but I get terrible cell service at work. So that isnt an option. So then I try talking to someone on there website chat. All they can do is verify I do NOT have an online account! And I will have to call to get that set up. I will never do business with Meritrust again. What a pain in the rear

    Not a good bank for business. I have banked with them for 25 years, and when it came time for a commercial loan, they denied me. Even though they said I had super strong credit, and income. Obviously they are scared of making business loans. Don't bank with them.

    Pros~ Love Meritrust, they really improved the mobile banking app. I have multiple accounts and no issues, the over draft fee is $32 but not a real issue if you manage your accounts. I've had one or two incidents throughout the year where something unexpected happen and I did get hit with overdraft fee but Meritrust is helpful since I had a good record and refunded. The phone services also improved now that you're allowed to get call back instead of having to stay on the phone to wait. Cons~ The only thing I wish that they could do is have more physical branches, used to have one right next to me but now I have to drive a little ways away to get to one. Its true that you can go to any credit union if you need to do simple things like deposit cash, but when you have to do paperwork you actually have to go to a Meritrust. Also, even though I was with them for over five years I couldn't get a loan from them for a car the first time so that was disappointing since I had a good record with them. However, couple years later when I was in a bind and need to get another car quickly they were the only Bank willing to work with me and kept interest under 5%. I've tried multiple Banks before I found Meritrust and I recommend them to everybody I know.

    The level of incompetence that I experienced was astounding! I went to have my business debit card replaced due to the replacement that was mailed to me, was defective when it arrived. The lady had trouble printing a card with the wichita flag. I like them to be different to keep from mixing them up. My personal debit card is white so any other color would have worked for my business card. She printed the card 3 times and had to have another gentlemen print the card. He then had to call card services to verify that the card would work since it was printed 3 times. After 45min of waiting I receive my card and carry on with my day. The next day I go to use my business card to realize they printed my personal card with the wichita flag. Needing to make a business purchase I was left with no choice but to pay with my personal account. Now I have 2 personal debit cards and no business debit card. Not to mention I have to interrupt my day again and go back to that branch to have both cards replaced again. What a hassle all because the teller was too busy talking about what she was doing after work and not paying attention.

    We have been with meritrust for close to 5 years. But he customer service has dropped a ton in the last year. The last three times I have called I have been on hold for at least 15 minutes. If we go in even just transferring money takes 15-20 minutes or I get told I can go through the drive through and use the machines. I like person-ability or interacting with people face to face not through a machine. I hope they figure this out I do like this bank..

    Problems with the business department at this location. Requested to speak to the only five business specialists who can complete my request with this credit union, three of the five were not working today, Friday and the other two were unavailable. When I asked to speak to the manager at this location, Mark, he demonstrated poor customer service demonstrated by his actions and statements to me as a customer of over 30 years with Meritrust . I was thankful for Dylan at the main office who did provide professionalism when o expressed my frustration.

    They are refusing to cooperate with Army regulations, they have terrible customer service with rude employees, and they are money hungry. It’s bad enough they are breaking Army regulations and refusing to cooperate with customs, now they are making us chase them and play phone tag. I wish we never banked with them for our auto loan. If you’re considering this bank, best advice is to just go to USAA, they are at least honest and not total snakes.

    Meritrust is a a great bank choice for anyone who wants to keep it SIMPLE! They have an intuitive online banking system, no minimum balance in checking, and it's a credit union so ATMs are easy to find! Debit cards look great with an optional picture in the top left corner for identity purposes, and they are now introducing EMV Chip technology into their cards. Credit card application process is great as well. You are assigned a loan processor who you can contact anytime with questions, and you can pay the balance anytime from the mobile app.

    The girls working up front seemed very stressed and kind of rude. Managers here need to do more to make this bank a better atmosphere. May cancel after my interaction here with them.
