Really bad and unprofessional help. Also, good luck getting a call back from management to discuss anything. Including their employees discussing your private loan information with anyone. They also don’t understand what “I’m at work during these times, my lunch is at this time. Call then please” means. Good luck if you go with these guys. Glad I ended up taking business else where at the first sign of trouble.

When I went to this CU 3 years ago, I was going thru a difficult time with taking care of my sick mom and needed something a little easier to transport her around in, and I went to Marine for help and absolutely loved my loan specialist at the time. Her name was Cassie and she was wonderful, she went out of her way to help me be able to get into a vehicle that I could count on to get my mother to and from all of her doctor's visits, she was so great that I decided to help my son get his first car loan from her, and after we paid off both loans, we went back for 2 more car Loans, and 2 personal loans, then my son received a 3rd car loan and a loan for a camper. Up until a 6 months ago we had no complaints, but then they started not returning calls, people referred were treated horribly, loan officers lost what could have been potentially larger loans because of how they treated people that we referred to them, than the started messing with my son so badly that he went to another CU, who bought his loans from Marine and did the loans for him at a much more reasonable rate and he has since closed all accounts through Marine. He wanted me to go also because he felt they would eventually do me wrong too, but me being a faithful customer, I stuck it out, until today. After the way a loan officer, named Ryan, treated me, I will be searching for a new CU and see if I can't get my loans moved to them. I thank Cassie for everything she did for me and my son, but since her leaving, its been pretty rough and today down right humiliating. I really never expected this when I worked with Cassie, but I should have figured there was a reason that this wonderful woman had left this place place for another and if I could find her I would, and now I understand why she left. There was a time I would have highly recommended this place, but now I'll tell you to find a different one if you can.

Used to be a good place to bank, not anymore. They hit me with 800 dollars in overdraft fees then told me if I brought my account current they would waive the fees. I covered all 800 dollars on fees then they said they couldn't refund the overdraft fees. I had banked with them for 12 years, not anymore. They are as bad or worse than the big banks. STAY AWAY!!

I am sick to death of never getting a call back. Everytime I call they never have the answers to any of my questions about my loan.. I am always told they will put a request in and call me back.. either it takes days for a response or I get zero response. I was charged over $700 on my loan for non proof of insurance yet I have emails that were sent to them with my insurance. I honestly can't wait to be done with my loan and close the account there.

Where do I begin? Incredibly limited hours (11a-5p), having two drive-thrus but only utilizing one line, and their ATM is so archaic that it does not accept deposits and you have to utilize the old school method of filling out an entire envelope and hoping someone counts it on time for your payment; all of those combined make for incredibly long lines when they are DO finally open, because everyone's been trying to get their business done for hours at that point. They tacked on an additional monthly charge to my car loan account that is stated nowhere in my loan documents and I wasn't made aware of when signing. I still haven't received a call I made regarding my loan 2 months ago, unlike Triumph, who calls me to resolve any questions first thing in the morning. Not to mention the fact that they create loans with interest rates so high, you're paying thousands more than your car is worth unless you pay it off early. In addition, when you do want to make an extra payment towards your principle only, they'll tell you that's not an option. They may get you your car, but it's not worth the hassle. I'll be refinancing first chance I get.
Emily, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. We encourage you to reach out to our manager at 563-277-3200 to discuss further.

Very unhappy with Marine . Here's the deal. If I had my same account with the CU that you bought in Davenport for 20 yrs. I literally closed a business account yesterday to pursue other employment. Today I received checks in the business name and you won't cash them under just a DBA. And, let me add I have a personal account and a car loan through Marine. Now you want me to reopen my account with a credit check that gigs my credit. Really? This isn't good business in my eyes. I'm so angry right now that I'm conteplating moving my cashing and checking somewhere else! Two years have passed. I moved my business and personal accounts to a different CU. My car loan is still at Marine. Would of moved that too, but the pandemic didn't allow me to that. So during this time. Marine called me everyday! In January I started a new contract making 4 k a month. But like any contract it takes awhile for things to get rolling with the payroll. Then the pandemic hit and everyone furloughed. Again another delay in getting payed. So, I made a phone call asking for a deferred payment or is there something they could do to help me out. This was their response. NO. THERES NOTHING THAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU! This is how they treat people. It's not family oriented. It's not there to be a CU. It's just simply a bank that practices in misrepresentation. As soon as I get this loan moved or payed off Marine will never here a kind word from my mouth. They just need to go back to Wisconsin. Sell the building! Sell the business!

Edit: they never got ahold of me after their response below. Takes weeks for them to do anything as far as approval. A vehicle that took them a week to do 10 minutes of paperwork on sold to to someone else and hour before they send the approval. Then found another vehicle from a private party so another week and an hour before they close want a SIGNED copy of the title by 5pm. You have to find a real trusting person to sign a title over and wait a day to get paid for it. Don't ever use them for anything!!!! Also if you get Steph Grunder you have a better chance of getting a faster and more intelligent response from a brick wall than her.
Derek, thank you for your feedback. We will have a manager reach out to you shortly.

Do NOT bank here. My family has been banking with this location for 20 years, beginning with Catholic Community Credit Union. Since the merger with Marine, we have received the most abysmal customer service. New card was not sent, phone wait times are 20 plus minutes, checks were not sent because they "didn't think I used them", and it can take over 15 days to get a new card. I know this, because I am currently on day 15 without a debit card. Choose a different credit union. This is neither family owned nor operated. Wouldn't even recommend to an enemy.

I worked with Chris and she made this process so simple for me. I have cancer and dont feel the greatest most days and she went out of her way to do a lot for me and make this happen. This loan has taken away a lot of the burden I have had recently and I appreciate everything you have done for me Chris Pace. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Called me about my car loan application, said they would submit it to underwriting and call me back. Never heard anything, can't get the loan officer by phone. Dealership already sold the truck.
Todd, thank you for the feedback! Please call our Contact Center at 800-923-7280 and we can connect you to a lender.
