If you can go to anywhere else, even a veterinarian, do it. PCMs dont call back even with an appointment. If you have to get a prescription filled, your doctor has to send it in, you have to go to lyster to activate it, then wait 7 days to pick it up. To pick it up wait 1-2 hours to have them tell you its not ready. Have gotten the wrong prescription. Have gotten the wrong instructions. Gotten the wrong dosage. Want glasses? Wait 8-9 weeks. Blood work? Make sure the alcohol swab the blood draw site. They'll "forget." It almost seems like they go out of their way to make the whole process so painful you will go elsewhere.

The prescription fill system… call in or at clinic filling out paper form turn into small building in front of clinic “but you will wait a week for prescription pick up time…though if you had appointment and had prescribed something get right away, super small clinic so rare same day appointments.

Me, personally had awesome experience with this clinic. The lady on the phone was really nice and explained how to register, since I wasn't permanent party but TDY. After I registered I called them back to make an appointment. The nurse called me back within 30 min and offered an appointment in the same day. Then she told me to get labs done. Long story short, I got my treatment and meds within a couple hours. Very helpful and professional!
Thank you for your positive feedback.

Everyone was really nice and patient with me when I hurt my knee and had to be put on crutches. Was able to be seen at sick call and physical therapy the same day with an orthopedic referral appointment the next day and an mri the following day. The physical therapist assistant Anthony helped me get my prescription filled and brought me a snack because I hadn't eaten breakfast. I'm just starting the recovery process but so far it seems like I'll get good care here.

This clinic is not terrible, but it definitely does not seem to do well in serving the active duty soldier and their family. Right now you can’t just walk into the clinic and talk to someone about your issues. As the only place I can go for medical treatment, it feels very isolating that you cannot freely walk in to speak to anyone or even to pick up a prescription. Getting your child seen by a pediatrician is atrocious here at Lyster. They only have a traveling pediatrician and they won’t give my newborn a referral to a facility that has a doctor in-house to fit his needs. I called about a small amount of congestion he has and they will only schedule him for the Covid/respiratory clinic., because yes he needs to get Covid on top of whatever is causing his congestion, apparently.

Lyster AMC has limited providers and provides only a small amount of specialty care….but I can say they do a good job supporting their patients with quality health care. I easily got referrals when I needed them and was never fussed at requesting X-rays and MRIs. They were great supporting my family also. Definitely a small town feel that is very welcoming.
Thank you for your positive feedback. Our team is working hard to maintain appointment availability while also supporting the needs of the COVID pandemic. Thanks again for sharing your positive experience.

Need a referral to see a Orthopedic Surgeon, be can not get a response from my primary care provider (Mr. Sullivan). Retired personnel are not important to this facility and should be allowed to receive referrals from outside medical physicians, but that would be like actually taken care of someone that gave so much to their country. Where is the oversight/check and balance to ensure all that have served are being taken care.

I have been to multiple Army clinics. I must say that Lyster is staffed with real professionals who truly care about their patients. Kadenzy is by far the most intelligent, kind, and passionate physical therapist I have ever worked with (and I’ve been to 5 different ones). I was feeling helpless after hip surgery, but Kadenzy gave me hope and a solid plan moving forward. MAJ Souza is also beyond helpful and resourceful-if she doesn’t have an answer, she will find it for you. She referred me to the correct people and genuinely cares about her patients. 5/5 for this clinic.
Thank you for your positive feedback. We agree! Mr. Kadenzy is amazing team member. He loves his job and it shows. We're happy to hear you are on a positive road to recovery. We're fortunate to have such an amazing PT team. MAJ Souza embodies people first! We will pass along your positive feedback to our Clinic leadership. Thank you again for sharing your positive experience! We love hearing about our hardworking staff.

More people need to be hired to answer the phone if it is going to take multiple days and 5 hours worth of sitting on hold to talk to someone. Especially to simply leave a message for your PCM. It doesn't make sense to sit on hold for two hours just to have someone (hopefully) answer, and transfer you to their voicemail. At least have the option to leave a message directly to the mailbox so you don't have to hold all day long. Edit: called today because I'm very sick. Need to see my doctor about a sinus infection and sitting no hold for three hours while you are sick as a dog is ridiculous. May as well go to the emergency room over anything you need.
We do apologize for the longer than normal wait times. We are experiencing some staff shortages following HBL and ROM. We did want to share additional resources available for scheduling appointments or leaving messages with your provider. You may also use the internet and schedule appointments 24/7 by logging onto www.tricareonline.com. or use https://app.tolsecuremessaging.com/ to leave a message with your provider.

Scheduled a surgery for my 1 year old. Wouldn't do the referral. Waited a month and they said they didn't receive his notes. Can't get ahold of anyone. No one cares. Just kept telling me to call someone else but couldn't provide number.
