I cashed a check Monday 12/27 at 9:37am. The bank teller stated the check would take two business days to clear and the receipt clearly states "check hold to be released 12/29/21". I called the bank today 12/30 as the check funds still have not been released. They stated they are holding the check until JANUARY 7TH. If you want your checks cashed in a timely fashion and funds available to pay your bills on time do not bank here.

I’ve been banking with HVFCU for almost 15 years and have always been very happy with the service. Unfortunately, I’ve had less than great experience with the Highland branch recently. The loan officer, Stephanie, I dealt with seemed completely uninterested in helping me explore options for a first time home loan (something that should be exciting was made completely anti-climactic, and I’m definitely opting to take a mortgage with a different lender who is actually helping me understand my options & work with me to help me reach my mortgage goals). Additionally, when I brought my small, purse-sized dog in for a quick transaction, the gentleman at the front desk made a comment about a recent change in their pet policy.... (not necessarily the guy’s fault, but neighboring banks actually give DOG TREATS to their members if they bring their dog in, instead of making them feel unwelcome) which was disappointing, so I’m rethinking my membership all together.

I conduct my banking at this branch and find the staff to be professional and helpful. The products and banking options they offer are outstanding and competitive.

Bonnie was condescending and very unhelpful. She must not like what she does as it reflects in her poor customer service skills.

Place used to be a solid bank. Unfortunately the atm charges and transfer charges are mind blowing. Be careful with this place

Edit: They screwed up an auto loan. Their oversight. They addressed it.
