    Extremely unhelpful, HORRIBLE communication. This credit union was very well recommended to me for being very helpful. Has the admininistration changed? Because the service is worse than terrible. Every single time I’ve called for assistance or an update with my current loan it takes multiple people and many many minutes for anyone to be able to help me and then I have to piece the information. Save yourself the stress and look for a credit union that will provide you with better service and support.

    0! NOT 1! Save yourself some trouble avoid this place and keep your money! Do NOT come to this type of bank. I just lost $1500 because they did not bother to explain the fine letters, do not trust them, read the fine print. I even try to fix it, by showing proof of insurance, but these don't care. Is your problem, that shows you what kind bank they are, even now during the middle of this crisis , they don't care. Yes, they will give you a low APR % for an auto loan, but hell they make up on fees. For over 2 years they did not bother to tell me until I wanted to pay off my car and called to ask for a balance, what scam. Plus, you deal with machines every time you called to ask for information, and then the employees have the nerve to tell you is your fault. Be careful, they get you with low interests but they get you with fees. I do not like to complain, but this place just got to me, I am telling everyone I know. I cant believe this place is still on business. AVOID IT.

    I have been with this credit union since I was 19 and I now in my 50's. I absolutely love everything about it, love the GREAT local customer service BUT the new way to contact anyone at the branches is just terrible. I loved how personal it felt when I knew exactly who I was talking to and how convenient it was to talk to someone when I needed something quick or had a question. I DO NOT like having to call the 1-800 number at all!

    The staff members on the Edinburg Location are always exceptional. They always go the extra step and more to provide excellent customer service. My family and me has been members with the credit Union for more that 23 years. Susan Rodriguez the Manager is a great leader and role model for her staff.

    This is the most difficult bank in the world. You all close at 4:00pm. You do not have a direct branch line. I have to go through five minutes of answering options to many to choose from. It take like three to five days to get important papers, when all I could is take a few minutes if your branches did that. And the most aggravating is your online banking. It is not user friendly and it always gives me the screens to update and security questions and it doesn't help to retrieve my username or password. I hate this bank most of the time.

Our Edinburg branch lobby closes at 4:00 Monday-Thursday, but is open until 6:00pm on Fridays. You can also utilize our drive-thru service until 6:00pm Monday-Friday, if you need to conduct transactions after 4:00pm. We will be launching our brand new online banking and mobile apps on November 5th (go to https://www.gtfcu.org/app-and-online-banking-update to learn more), and this update should provide you with a more user-friendly online banking experience, which includes features like secure messaging, so you can send and receive messages from us about questions that you may have, and you will have one centralized username and password for your online banking experience. We are working hard to provide our members with a greater banking experience, and hope that some of these changes will help to make it easier for you to get the important account information that you need.     As a Co-op shared branch member, I read through the reviews of the various Co-op branches in the Edinburg area. This branch seemed to have the best reviews and personnel who responded to negative reviews as well as positive reviews. My own experience today at the drive-thru was pleasant and extremely fast (in and out within 5 minutes with a car in front of me). I would gladly sign up for an account with GTCU based on my research and experience today.

    I use this bank as a co-op shared bank, I don't understand how this bank stays in business! It appears no one knows what they are doing plus staff needs to be told how to do things! How this banks gets a 3.4 rating is beyond me. The website does not provide a direct contact business number plus call center never answers incoming calls. I've had to wait 45 minutes to an hour! This is not quality customer service. Owner or President of this banks seriously needs to re-evaluate services being provided to customers!

    I moved to South Carolina 2012, they suggested that instead of closing my acct in Texas, I have a choice to find a sister bank in SC. I love the convenience of still getting the great customer service from Texas. If I have a question or concern GTFCU is a phone call away!!!
