Freedom purchased our original mortgage shortly after we bought our home. Shortly after this they sent information to me letting me know a refinance option was available to a lower rate and a better payment. The rate was lower and the payment was considerably better than what I was paying so I went with it. What I didn't realize was that they estimated my taxes for escrow at 1250 for the year. This was grossly under any estimate for the area where I live. There is no one in our county who pays close to that. They were off in there estimate by roughly 7600 dollars. So of course I am short in my escrow and now owe a little over 9000 dollars to cover the shortage. Now, I know a person should always read the fine print but this estimate for my taxes was so grossly under any taxes that anyone pays in my area that something just seems fishy. This seems like some sort of tactic used by a mortgage company to get the best of their customers knowing that most probably will not read the fine print. If you can, I would avoid Freedom Mortgage at all cost. At best I would say their business practices are questionable.

Freedom lied about the "locked in" interest rate. They let it lapse and then spent more than a month trying to make it look like it was our fault (re-asking for paperwork, lying about non answered phones calls etc...). The quality of service was just not there at any time. We finally had to CC EVERYONE associated with the loan to prove that the information was previously sent and to hold William Killebrew accountable for the ongoing mistakes. We started the loan process on December 28th of last year and found out yesterday that they were not moving forward (we were told that "SOMEBODY" inputted the information wrong from the beginning). In speaking to another company we now understand why. FREEDOM MORTGAGE did not extend the rate lock and lost what they told us was the interest rate. RUN from this company.

After I asked to be taken off the advertising list of them, and affiliates problems started. They started charging me late fees stating that my payment was late from the postal service. I put payment long before the contractual date. They claim it took more that 12 days to reach them. The postal service says this is a lie. Looking at reviews there is no chance I am trusting them to electronic payment. I have reported this fraudulent practice of milking more money from customers, to an oversight committee. They need to be sued!

Do I have to give them even 1 star? This company is THE worst! We loved our original mortgage company, but our loan was sold to Freedom and now we're stuck with them. They are terrible to work with, customer service seems useless, and last week they pulled our mortgage payment out twice! It's been over a week, we've given them "proof" they required showing the funds were deducted by them from our account, and they said they still need another week to confirm everything on their end. Wonder how many people's money they're using interest free this month. I highly urge you to look elsewhere. Completely unprofessional and they truly seem like a bunch of scammers.

I wish I could give zero stars! They bought our mortgage and never bothered to send a welcome package. The first payment with them is due soon and they don't recognize the new loan number that our old servicer gave us for Freedom Mortgage. It's funny because their marketing department sure has our information. We are already getting calls and mailings with refinance offers, yet they can't get the new loan information out to us in a timely manner. If it's at all possible stay away this company!

BEWARE PEOPLE ! Really shady Mortgage company not honorable! I contacted them for a refinance on my home. A adviser named megan told me it could be done and ran down the numbers and said it was a sure thing. Said I would at lease save $ 85 a month in savings. No out of pocket cost or expenses. It would all be put in to the monthly payment. But I had to give them a $ 150 deposit for A appraisal deposit. So she kept pressing me for the deposit . I thought that was really odd so I decided to go get a Visa card to load the money on cause I didn't trust her. The moment I gave her that card she ran the deposit in 30 seconds and I never heard from her after that. Appraisal was done came in higher than what I paid for the house cause the market is up . They came back to me asking for $ 500 in closing cost. Sounds like the Full appraisal to me plus my $ 150.00? I told them I wanted my $ 150 back she said no because the appraisal was done. And told me that the Appraisal came in lower than expected considering it was 11,000 over ? She basically said there is nothing we can do . Good thing I didn't give them my banking info or debit card number . Seriously stay clear from this company they are scam artist . The appraiser is apparently working for them cause he won't return my calls or emails and they want you think other wise probably on salary. I will be dealing with this matter externally asap .

DO I REALLY HAVE TO GIVE THEM A STAR??!! Worse Mortgage company ever!!!!!!!!!!!! Doesn't deserve any stars, period! Their website is super buggy and doesn't work well. Don't be surprised if the website wont take your payment and you receive a late fee (it happened to me). Customer service is a joke/ clueless and is only available for a short amount of time in the day. Your credit will take few dings with this lender.... STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!!!

We bought our home about 9 months ago and Freedom mortgage has been very helpful with sending letters monthly when our mortgage is due and letting us know when the VA is changing their rates. I have been happy with their service.

It was a great place to work, harmony and great atmosphere, until they introduced calabrio, meaning they wanted to control your every move, even your 15 were dictated at a specific time of the day. I was lucky to be among the top performers until they picked a phone call of mine where simple conversation points were taken out of proportion and I was back to starting point as far as phone-calls quality went. As I tried to move to a different department they ignored and didn’t allow me to further developed my skills. I made the decision of leaving. I left before a year had passed. Then they had the audacity to turn around and sue me for licenses after I had generated hundreds of thousands for them they sued me for about 6k, eventually placing a judgement against me and taking the little money I had saved from my bank account. Harrasinh bastards that do not deserve your business. Best regards and stay away from them.
