I've been banking with First National Bank of La Grange for 16 years and they have given A+++ service every time. Marge is the best personal banker any could ever ask for. If you see a super long line waiting for a personal banker it's the line waiting to see Marge. If you are anywhere near this location I recommend making it your bank. You won't regret it.

I noticed some fraud in the past couple of months, on my debit card that I hadn’t used in years. I called a personal banker was very friendly and accommodating to correct the situation. I had to go into the branch to sign documents to this effect and confirm the charges. Kind of inconvenient with all other banks offer this online with a click. I sign off and confirm the charges. A week goes by and all the charges are reversed. Phew almost 3k, I am relieved. Another week goes by, I am contacted by the bank representative that as some of the charges are over 60 days and will be taking the money back. Approx 1/2, of the actual fraud. Any other larger bank would choose to make a decision and stick with it. Most likely credit the amount reported as fraud and keep the customer. So as a 40+ year customer, I say good bye. The tellers and bankers do their best but they are as burnt out as the systems. An antiquated dinosaur that tried to scale and it never did. I was willing to forgive the shortcomings of your features, as you were local and small. I knew the people. Your employees had roots in our community. Fnbc grew into a midsize group and left their customer behind. If they offered modern technology to support banking I probably would have caught some overcharges I missed. If you are to choose this bank be aware it does not offer modern amenities. There is no: Mobile app Online dispute Online check request Opening any additional accounts Closing any accounts Usable reports or viewable calculations Send money via: PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, etc Charge notifications, Text or Email Two step authentication, is call or text. No mobile Authentication or keys are supported

    Response from the owner

We appreciate your feedback, Mr. Lazarski. We are sorry that your 40+-year banking relationship with us ended on a less than positive note. We encourage you to take another look at our services, though. We think you will find that we do, in fact, offer the services you mentioned in your review. We are sorry that our combination of technology solutions and personalized service did not meet your expectations. We wish you all the best.

Very unethical and untrustworthy people are running this bank. We have provided services for over 20 years at their few locations. Suddenly our contract was terminated with no apparent reason which came as a surprise however this was their lawful right. As we find out latter, bank illegally obtained personal information of our employees and either hired them or provided confidential personal data to newly contracted company which is prohibited per our contract agreement. We are small, local family owned business and this is our livelihood!! Please stay clear of this bank, they might steal from you also!!!

I've banked with FNBC for a while and when I needed them most, they came through! I worked with a multitude of bankers- Candice, Maria, Marge, and McKenzie.....all of them we're super professional and caring. In an era of computers and automation, it was really refreshing to get great customer service over the phone and in person. I will be banking at FNBC for life.

I have been with FNBC for over 13 years and left Chase due to their lack of customer service. FNBC has always given stellar customer service, but Don Hunt specifically is diligent and always goes above and beyond expectations. I moved out of Illinois 6 months ago and FNBC is not in North Carolina, I will not give up FNBC, because of employees like Don. An extra note, Mokena State Bank was one of the few banks that did not partake in the home bundling loans that crashed the housing market in 2008.

Don't be surprised when a real person answers the phone and actually directs you to an experience banking person to help you accomplish your banking needs. Not a Big Bank. Just a good local bank of brick, mortar and people. If 6 stars were available, they would get it.

I have had to call at least once a month because the online app will not accept my password or user ID. This is quite time consuming and frustrating.
