Have been using this bank for awhile now, the tellers are friendly and make the experience fast and enjoyable. I have never had a problem with any of my transactions. When I signed up, the teller explained everything to me that I needed to know, including fee's and the debit transaction limit without trying to hide any details. I recommend this service.
Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review! We strive to make our member service the best! Thank you for entrusting us with your financial transactions!

The majority of the tellers who work here are clueless. Their great rates are not going to keep me a customer with such poor customer service. Just went through the drive through and she told me I didnt have a checking. Stormed away when I said we did and sent the receipt out and didn't say anything.
Kathy- Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for the credit union. Member service is of utmost importance to us. We will have a member of our management team reach out to you to discuss your visit further.

This bank has changed horribly over the last decade. They now charge a fee for every tiny little thing. Ridiculous. Not friendly for the working class at all anymore. I don't know why it has changed, but you get a charge for using your debit card now (50 cents after 4 debit transactions in a month), and they used to have a 24 hour overdraft protection, which they changed without notification. They used to have an option to reject payments before it overdrafted, known as overdraft protection, in case of an accident, which is great if you live paycheck to paycheck, because sometimes things get under calculated, or comes out a day earlier than it was supposed to. Now they charge you 27 dollars to return a payment. I had two payments from the same company for two different types of insurance (I forgot to switch banks on my insurance account--I know this is my fault), but they both were given a 27 dollar fee and returned. I didn't realize this, then I got a letter, which is understandable, but then literally the next day I got an additional letter saying I was seriously abusing my account and that my account would be closed. The letter was very threatening in nature about my credit score. It was a simple accident. The customer service is usually good, but even that has been sliding...it used to be above and beyond. The ladies that work the drive through banking, however are always really kind. I would never recommend this bank. In fact, I make sure if I know someone is looking for a bank, that they don't go there, because it is so horrible. I am not the only one experiencing these difficulties either. There is a reason there is only one First Ohio Federal Credit Union and that is because it sucks big time.
We appreciate you letting us know how you feel. We wanted to address this review to let you know we hear you and take your concerns seriously as well as correct some misstated information. Your first concern, we charge what is normal in the financial industry and we try to keep our fees lower than banks and other financial institutions. There is extensive research done to make sure these fees are in line with other institutions. Secondly when using your debit card you receive eight (8) pinned transactions for free, not four (4). After that there is a $.50 fee per transaction. You can use our ATM unlimited for free. Also, if you are at a store or restaurant, it is always good to use your card as a credit, as long as the funds are available in your account, there are no fees for those transactions. Thirdly, we have never had a 24 hour overdraft protection. We have the standard NSF fee of $27 if funds are not available and, a $32 honor fee is issued if we see direct deposit activity. Avoiding these fees is determined by when you authorize items to be deducted from your account. Our credit union also has a night drop available next to the ATM and those deposits are credited the next morning and fees are refunded to help our members. We also have online and mobile banking available to transfer money and view transactions that have come through your account as well as pending transactions to help manage your account. You can also set up alerts through text banking so you know when certain transactions occur or if your account goes below a specified balance. In regards to your last concern, there were two (2) informative letters sent two (2) days apart concerning the balance in your account. If there is no response received on those previous letters, six (6) days later we send another letter relating to the status of the account and that we would be closing the account if not corrected. In this situation if the account is not rectified we report members to Chex Systems. We never threaten or mention anything about your credit score in these letters and this action does not happen for first time offenders. We take pride in our customer service and the low fee services and products we offer. We hope this clears up any confusion there may have been.

1/14/2019 update: STILL TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I wish I could give negative stars at this point. I got my auto loan through the dealership financing office, after already going in with approval to use USAA, and was convinced to use this Credit Union's services. I regret doing so. From day one this place has been a hassle, from not having an online or phone service I can use to pay or check my bill/balance, to when I was initially figuring out what to do instead and called them, the person on the phone kept cutting me off as I was trying to give her information, and then told me I "Just needed to figure it out". No, that's your job, to help me utilize your services. Additionally, I've had a thousand dollar deductible on my insurance for as long as I can remember, and I payed my loan twice before getting a 'final notice' that the deductible has to be no more than 500 dollars, per their policy, in a letter threatening to charge me 4.2 thousand dollars AFTER I already had gone down initially in person to give them proof of insurance and specifically asked if there was anything else, and everything was okay. I have already swayed at least one person from using the services of this institution, and I will be doing my best to sway everyone else I come in contact with to do the same. Also, both times I've gone in there the tellers have been playing on their phones, very professional. 1/14/2019 UPDATE : I had to call them again today, because the check I have sent from my bank to them because I moved away hasn't posted yet, and was supposed to friday. I called and explained that I just wanted to see what if they'd received the check or not. First, they want me to stop by to update my address with them, Which I explain "Sure, I can, but that's not my issue right now". Woman says that they 'got my check' on the 14th, today. Okay whatever, my bank sends the checks, not me, since they wouldn't let me set up on online account to pay my vehicle payment. And then says I still need to pay for the 26th, "Yes I know, it's not the 26th yet", well you still need to pay for it. "Yes, I know how monthly payments work". I don't understand what this place doesn't understand about 'customer service'. Step one: have your tellers or whoever is answering your phone drop the attitude for the duration of the call, and then step 2, focus on what the customer actually wanted help with.
