The majority of reviews are spot on. This bank has no clue of how to provide quality customer service. After dealing with several of the 800 customer services reps for over 10 days, our issue is still unresolved. Terrible!

I have tried to contact the bank manager multiple times regarding an important banking issues and they refuse to call me back. After talking to multiple people at the 800 number, other locations, and personal bankers at this location, I know that he is the only one who can help me. Opening a bank account with First Citizens was literally one of the worst decisions I have ever made.

I’ve never had a bank make me want to close an account on the spot like them. A couple of months ago I had to fraudulent charges on my account that caused it to overdraft, I called to inform them that the charges were fraudulent, and not to let my card be charged by the same people again. Not only did they let the account get charged again, and again... and again... but then they refuse to work with me on any of the four overdraft fees ($36 a pop). Recently I had to for overdraft fees, one of which was probably my fault although it’s a bit of A gray area to me still, but the other Was complete and total BS. Altogether I’ve had six overdraft fees, and Weber used to work with or fix any of them. They might as well be Wells Fargo.

This bank was highly recommended for a mortgage product, because they specialized in dealing with customers with credit challenges due to student loan balances. My experience with this bank was less than preferred. The loan officer ran my credit and took a week to contact me regarding approval status. This was frustrating because the housing market in Charlotte NC is here today gone tomorrow. Which is exactly what happens to several properties while I was waiting to hear from the bank. Once I spoke to the loan officer I was given a preapproval and even downpayment assistance programs which was a plus. Several weeks later I found a property, loved it, put an offer on it, paid my downpayment, earnest money, inspector, appraiser, and was ready to close. 5 days before closing the loan officer called to tell me we could not close on the agreed upon date, gave another date. I packed my entire house and was ready to close May 10 2019, only to receive a phone call May 4 2019 that the bank had no mortgage product that I could be approved for and the contract had to be terminated. The loan officer was so casual as if we were having this conversation prior to shelling out all of my non refundable cash. Money I had been saving so that my family could have the opportunity of home ownership, all gone, and all I was given was a thank you for choosing 1st citizens. What do I tell my children? Before you lose any money make sure you do a check on your loan officer make sure they know what they are doing. Don't be caught with no where to live and a thanks for choosing 1st Citizens...

They had a tip set for $7+ for a delivery. After recieving said delivery they changed it to 0. If they treat deliverers like this I can only imagine how they handle others money. Penny pinching Scrooges.

Love this branch and the tellers. They are always willing to help! I had an issue cashing a check with Wells Fargo and First Citizens handle the situation for me. Will always be a First Citizens customer.

The customer service line is a necessity that needs to go away. They are very unhelpful and can be replaced.

Beware of opening up a checking account. They do a hard pull. Lowers your credit score.

Horrible experience trying to deposit money into a family members account. STEER CLEAR!
