Postal employees and all other people please take my advice and stay far away from first choice credit union. They used to be the Postal Employees Credit Union until it was determined that they were causing harm to the postal families they pretended to serve. Also it was determined that they operate using predatory money practices that misused the funds of their customers and use high interest loans and fees to lock poor people in to “steal “ from their customers. Back in the day they were booming but if you drive past there today they look like one of the businesses that should be completely mowed down and moved out of that space so that’s some thing that can help the people in the neighborhood serve us better

Make sure that if you work for this company that you don't get sick. I got Covid and they fired me because I didn't meet my 90 day probationary period. Yet they knew I fell ill. I didn't ask to get sick, it just happened and they fired me 3 days before Christmas. Nice present. It's all good because the building is not in the safest area and it is run down and the minute you walk through those doors it has a moldy smell, which is probably why I got sick. Never felt so disrespected in my life.

This bank is the worst. If I could go back in time and stop myself from getting with this bank I would. I told them I didn’t want the overdraft protection, even came in and signed paperwork stating that I didn’t, and they failed to inform me that it only applies to debit card purchases ONLY. I didn’t want anything coming out of my account if I didn’t have the funds for it. They STILL allowed purchases to come through, and charged me hundreds of dollars in fees and when I asked them about the removal of the overdraft protection they admitted that they still took money out of my account for it and still didn’t reverse all of the overdraft fees. I just closed my account. Won’t ever make that mistake again! Be very careful where you bank.

I worked till 4 pm , in North Palm Beach , had to take back roads to get to I-95 then on I 95 2 cars in front of me had an accident. I got off on Forrest Hill came up Congress 1 guy turned in front of me in the drive through got there 4 58 pm Finished with the guy in front of me at 500 , when I got to the window. I asked for a cashiers check . The women in the drive through said I’m sorry we are closed now you will have to come back tomorrow. I tried to tell what happened did not want to hear it. However the people next to me were taken care of. I have been a customer for over 26 years. In the meantime I am going to change banks. I am a nurse and I have taken phone calls from patients at 359 . Sure I had to stay over a few min. But I went the extra mile for a. Customer.

Updating my review to recommend not working with this bank. The first time I got an auto loan through this bank it was really easy and I recieved a 5% interest rate. But I later found out that they just have a partnership with the Off Lease dealership so likely they were incentived to make it work. Because the second experience below was drastically different. 2 months later my dealership accidently wrecked my car and offered to give me the same exact car for the same price owed since they were at fault. The same person at the bank (Rose) and the rest of their team suddenly was no longer able to be reached and continually kept changing the requirements needed. Most importantly which makes working with them so annoying and useless is that the interest rate offered through their bank CONSTANTLY changes, it changed 3 times from my application to when I was about to sign!! It went from 5% to 3%, then to 6%??!! I ended up signing my new auto loan with Bright Star Credit Union, another credit union in South FL that was way more easier to work with and transparent with terms not constantly changing. Please have better communication with customers, and have better transparent terms that don't constantly change. No other bank changes their interest rate after the application so your bank has no excuse, if anything it is very deceptive and predatory when the customer is ready to sign that the rate suddenly changes dramatically and makes them feel like they should just sign since they spent so much time already. Probably why your bank has a 3 star rating. Go somewhere else people!

I had terrible experience with them, spent 3 hours for nothing. They advertise low car loan rate. I got approved for the lowest rate, i called the main bank verified the rate, then someone from VA location called me and verified the rate also. Both representatives stated i would get .50% off by setting automatic payment and enrolling e-statements. They asked me to bring the vehicle for inspection and I did that. Once everything was completed, they told me i need to open a checking account with them to qualify for the .50% off. I DECLINED. Their website has old information from October 2018 and information on website and the loan site (loanspq) has different information. Manager on duty acknowledged both representatives failed but she will make sure they will be trained and informed that IT will fix the information that is on application site vs the website. What a shame, i will never go back there!

This Branch Is Great. I have never seen anyone treated unfairly. Sometimes people that have trouble at regular banks, balancing a check book have trouble at other banks for the same reason. A credit union has is it's PROS and CONS. Checks are held longer, even mine. remember they holding your unverified check until Yours clears and lending you The banks' money while the check clears. The fraud dept. , shuts down your card for weird transactions right away * ( that's good) and I get to speak to a live person every time someone I can come visit. Nonetheless, the hours are not as convenient, but I am treated fairly. CREDIT UNIONS are not for everyone.

Let me start by saying First Choice has never done me wrong in the past 20 something odd years I have banked with them .Any banking issues I had a problem it was fixed with no arguments no hassle. Until last week.... I recieved a call from a J. McKenzie asking me if I knew my account was over drawn -$554. Of course that was a NO. Who would take out that much money from my account that I didn't authorize to do so. She told me who it was, I explained, she then told me no worries she reversed it and I now had a $0 balance. Ok cool I thought was the end but no. I called First Choice again a few days later and found out I was now a $-600, I immediately wanted to talk to someone because I just did not know why. So I ended up finding out that it was the same company that Jay McKenzie called me about, so now I'm wanting to know how in the world we're that able to again take out money after I spoke to Mrs. McKenzie about the same company. So to make a extra long short, First Choice refuses to admit the mistake on their end and the company that was allowed to take money out of account refuses to admit their mistake. My number one question is this, any time that I have not had enough money to cover a payment coming out my account they payment would be sent back. Why on earth did they allow this payment to go through twice, when clearly I didn't have the money!!!!! No matter how many people I speak to at the bank, no one is willing to help.

Unless you are a Hispanic that's the only way for someone to be treated fairly. This is the first time I ever experienced some none sense. I open an account there about two or three weeks ago. The representative that help me to open the account didn't tell me the policy about when deposit a check in your account. More likely from what I know when deposit a check in a new account the hold usually 4-7 business days. Also, when I online to read their agreement about deposit a check in a new it only said 4 business days. On the 4th of January I put a check of $300, and I have direct deposit coming up to the account which is more than that check that deposit in. They put a hold in for 19 business days. Telling me that takes time to verified the check. And the receipt that I have after putting the check in my account didn't say any hold. I went there so many times if they can help to at least put half because I have a positive balance in my account. Therefore, I can be able to pay my car. They didn't seem to be care about an Africain American customer for my bill to get pay on time. This bank more like treated Africain American differently that Hispanic. They don't respect whatever is write in their policies. This is my last time banking with people that is so unprofessional and prejudice. This is America everyone needs to be treated fairly. The representative that helped with so unprofessional skill her name is Sandra M Estrada. None of them are better than another the supervisor is deadlock.
