    Came in with a flat tire on an afternoon recently, TJ Cunningham was the rep that assisted me, and I received prompt, professional, and thorough service. In addition, my wait time was much less than expected. Very easy to get to on 280 also. Will be taking my vehicle back there in the future.

    I had a terrible experience in the service department and an even worse one speaking to the service manager regarding it. After well over an hour of waiting (for an oil change and a small recall repair of a brake light) and then being quickly shuffled over to the cashier, I asked the service advisor what was concluded regarding the error code I had received on my dash the day before. The service advisor had no idea what I was talking about, which also happened to be the primary reason for my appointment. When it was realized that the car had to go back to be looked at once again, the service advisor became really short with me. Not 20 minutes later, the service advisor came back with a total dollar amount written on a sticky note and I was told it was the battery. When I began to ask questions is where the trouble began. I was told that my vehicle took a "special" battery. So special that none of my questions regarding this battery could be answered by the SERVICE ADVISOR. "It must be an amperage or voltage thing" was the response I was given. I was also told that the noise I was hearing was my hubcap. Well, I definitely know that isn't the case. Against my better judgment, I moved forward with the battery replacement as I have a long distance road trip within a few days and don't have much time to prepare for it as it is. When I attempted to inquire further about the type of battery and the warranty, I was given the battery part number on a sticky note (the very same part number listed on the invoice), something was mumbled regarding 30 months and quickly ushered over to the cashier. When I called the service manager to relay my dissatisfaction with my experience, I was told that the miscommunication regarding the appointment's purpose was due to the call center and "to put it in terms that I would understand, buying a car battery is alot like buying shoes..." Wait. What??? When I told him that I would be much more knowledgeable about buying car batteries than shoes, he became very defensive and started talking over me. All I needed to hear was an apology for the experience and that he would talk to the service advisor about being more professional and informative. Truly. But to deflect any responsibility, to make those remarks and treat a customer in such a manner??? Hmmm. I then called Mary Kay in the customer relations department to see if there was someone else I could speak to and told her how the service manager responded. She laughed and said "what's sexist about that? Both sexes wear shoes." She then became very condescending and kept repeating that she didn't understand my problem. In short, if you want an informed experience regarding what is wrong with your vehicle, what exactly you are being charged for in a professional and respectful manner, DO NOT go to Edwards Chevrolet 280. If this what was experienced during a simple battery replacement, imagine if it was a serious issue involving big dollars.

    Best experience! We drove from Cullman, to meet with Guillermo Galindo in search to buy an SUV. He helped us from start to finish in getting us what we wanted and what was best! He is bilingual which was awsome, he could communicate directly with my husband! Would definitely recommend Edwards Chevy and Guillermo to everyone!

    We have been using Edward's to service our vehicles for years. We even take our Ford Focus there for routine oil changes and preventative maintenance. I just call up TJ Cunningham in the service department and he makes it happen. Incredible service and TJ makes it work with my schedule. We will continue to bring our vehicles to Edward's!

Jonathan Short is very knowledgeable when it comes to this business, we told him what we wanted and how much we could spend and he had us something worked up in no time!     My son bought a used 2009 Yukon from here and has had nothing but trouble from it. Before it was put on the lot, it had over $2,000 worth of work done. After he bought it, within two days, he had to take it back to have over $6,000 worth of work done, and it took over a week to argue with them as to who was going to pay for it even though he had bought the extended warranty. Then another week to actually get the work finished. Although he had owned it just a couple of days, they didn’t offer to take it back because of all of the issues. Now, he’s had it a couple of months, and he has to take it back to the shop because something wasn’t done right the first time he had it in. It’s been in the shop more than he’s been able to drive it. If this is what kind of used cars they sale, I’ll never buy a vehicle from them. Ridiculous!
