Desert Financial Credit Union E Germann Rd, Chandler

I have been with Desert Financial for 20 yrs, except for the 2 yrs I lived in TX. I generally have good service from the tellers, but when I went in to get a Home Equity Loan, I was told I was getting the 2.99% rate, but when I went to sign the paperwork, it was 6%. Well I had no choice because I could not wait to start the process all over again. Needless to say, I am switching banks as soon as the credit line is paid off.

As my (then) fiance and I were looking at who's bank to use, Desert Schools was very helpful, and informative. The representative, Edwin, gave us suggestions, and answered questions knowledgeable. We've gone back to him, and he continued give us good advice. I've been with the bank since I was a little girl, and love that there are now many more branches!

I went to the bank to deposit some money and was unable to deposit 1 $5 bill. I sent my daughter over to the branch to change out 1-$5. The teller refused. I went and asked for the manager. The manager refused to assist because I was not a Desert Schools account holder. It's ok. I guess if you don't want to help me change out $5 I won't let you tell me about your accounts. I have a mortgage. two car loans, credit cards, retirement accounts, and business accounts. You just lost a customer for life.

I had an issue with my account and was very flustered, I showed up to the Chandler Walmart branch and was warmly greeted by Alexis, she was very sweet and was able to look up my account in no time. Hannah then stepped in and was able to take care of my issue. They both made my day today, I highly recommend this location 😊

The branch inside Walmart on Gilbert is terrible for anything other then basic teller issues. Tellers were kind and courteous, but that only goes so far when you've waited 30 minutes to switch a name on an account. It would be different if there were 5 people ahead of us, but that wasn't the case. It was 1 couple that the branch manager was spending time with ahead of us, laughing and joking it up like we had all day to wait. Long story short, we left and went to the San Tan location. We were in and out of there within 10 minutes.

So I bought money orders for rent and ended up not needing them but had already filled them out they said even though I was the purchaser that they couldn't deposit them in my account cuz it was like a 3rd party check. Money orders are like cash not checks. So they told me to go back to the circle k I purchased them at and they would do it. Went to circle k and they told me my bank would do it if I endorsed it to myself. I told them what my bank said and they were as confused as me so the manager is borrowing money from another store to help me with my problem when my own bank wouldn't. I bet if I would've gone to my usual location they would've done it but this place had a bunch of young kids as tellers that obviously dont know what a money order is.

The staff at the Desert Finanical in the Walmart shopping center on Germann &Gilbert in Chandler are top notch. Always helpful and great to work with.

I usually go to the branch that is located inside a Wal-Mart. Everyone is very nice and helpful and my transactions are processed quickly. I rarely wait in a line and if I do it's only for a minute or so.

this bank makes it almost impossible to reach a live representative unless you are applying for a new loan or account. I've got, what I think is, a simple question for clarification yet can never get a human being on the phone. We've been with this bank for over ten years and I think it is time we switched.
