This branch has been very good to me over a number of years. I have done loans through them, gotten insurance approval on checks, etc. The employees are always nice and go out of their way to make things right. I haven’t experienced the big box bank red tape that I always run into with other large banks. I would recommend CUofCO to friends and family

    Response from the owner

Thank you for this review JT. We appreciate your loyal membership!

Tried to call and talk to someone. It's only robots. Then they said I'm #60 in line and they would call me back several hours later. What a waste of time. If you want high quality customer service, just go to ENT Credit Union. Only dealing with this place because they service an auto loan and won't allow me to pay it off early.

    Response from the owner

Ryan, we are sorry to hear about your wait time. Recently we experienced higher than normal call volume. As a reminder we do have a call back feature so you don't have to wait on the phone. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience the extended wait caused.

To begin, I am not a disgruntled customer, nor am I someone who writes reviews often. I am just a person who would rather spare any other the trouble that I have experienced. Please, heed my warning. If you are a human and can avoid it, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CREDIT UNION OF COLORADO! You may find that companies like ENT have far more ethical standards than this one. Car loans, personal loans, home loans, etc. Please look beyond them. This company has no ethical or moral code and they absolutely only care about their bottom line. I rebuke any potential comment made by CU of Colorado in their defense. Don't believe it. I am a person like you. Trust me. CU of Colorado will make you regret it.

After the worst experience ever at SSFCU, I switched to CUOC, I do most everything online with them. I have been in the COS branch a few times to make a deposit into my IRA, it was always easy and fast.

    Response from the owner

Thank you for the review Sally. We appreciate your membership and look forward to serving you for a long time to come!

This is a GREAT financial institution! They treat members like family. They have gone above and beyond to help me on numerous occasions. They always seem to have an equitable solution to my problems! From the lobby guard, tellers AND managers(Dave?) I get treated with kindness, respect and professionalism. The people in member solutions are AWESOME(props to Helena!). I HIGHLY recommend CUCO to anyone who wants a friendly, personable and CARING bank!

Left our family head over heels with incorrect banking advice. Was told we could withdrawal money using their "courtesy pay" option to help through the tough financial stretch. At the time we owed about 35$ overdraft. We covered that amount and then, per their advice, withdrew the full amount available on the courtesy pay. The bank then turned around and ran the $35 overdraft concurrent with the draw as a past due balance. Rather than the full 30 days to repay the courtesy pay loan, they went off the date of the initial draft! Suddenly we recieved notice that we were now no longer eligible for future advances and further that the checking account (and attached credit accounts) would be closed if repayment wasn't received in full long prior to the expected date. To credit the bank manager, when we approached them with the details they did set us up on a somewhat low cost repayment plan rather than pulling the account entirely without payment. Nonetheless it is left unresolved as the sudden revocation of our ability to utilize the assistance has left us in quite a stress. We intended, as we had done several times prior, on repaying the full amount of the courtesy loan by the date given when withdrawn (again per the specific advice of the bank representative who said the full amount should be taken rather than face having to make a second withdrawal if needs insist, never mentioning the shortened repayment deadline). Then we intended to again withdrawal an amount necessary to stretch us through the hardships of moving by the end of the month, a new five month old baby, and the ever mounting living costs. Apparently the "courtesy pay" option has caused others perhaps similar hardships as we were told while trying to resolve the matter at the bank, that CO Credit Union is looking to do away with the program all together. Unfortunately not soon enough to have created a tremendous confusion and hardship on a family that is scratching to stay afloat. Yes, we appreciate the repayment option that was allowed per our sit down conversation, but the branch reps must get this aspect of the banking more clear. When one encourages and suggests the utilization of a banking option, it should be made very clear to the consumer the conditions on repayment, no gray area, no slipping through the cracks, and not other bank reps suggesting when it lands on our laps, it should never have been used at all.

    Response from the owner

Hi David, Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry to hear of your difficult situation and regret that your experience with courtesy pay was not positive. We take criticism as an opportunity to improve and will use this review to help coach our staff on this topic. Again, we apologize for any miscommunication and if there is anything we can help you with, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

I recently got an auto loan through the Credit Union of Colorado. Their rate for my situation was not spectacular, but it was good, and I'm happy with that. I'm also very happy to have gotten an approval through them, as they are a reputable credit union, and I'd much rather work with a credit union than a large bank. However, somewhere along the way, my address was incorrectly recorded. when my initial information was sent to me, it was returned. I was not informed of this. When my first payment - which I was not notified of - was due, I was not called even though they have my cell phone number. I spoke with an employee a couple of days later because I was worried about my first payment which I still had not learned of. She was very helpful, and told me that collections had made a note in my file the day after my first payment was due, even though they did not call me or attempt to contact me otherwise. It's a good thing that I cared enough to follow up on our contractual agreement, or my credit score may have suffered immensely and I still may have never been called. Unfortunate.

I've been having issues with my first few car payments through this credit union. Everytime i call, I'm on hold for over 20 minutes, i have only gotten through one time. Whenever i call my bank, I'm on hold for 30 seconds EVERYTIME. My main issue is that my truck payments are on autopay, and CU of CO isn't withdrawing my money, causing my payments to be late. When i refinance, it will definitely be through Ent..

I have never had such a great experience with a bank. They help in ANY AND ALL ASPECTS. I was left screwed by a Lakeside Autos and they not only financed one vehicle they refinanced my original car then assisted with a credit card to consolidate my credit cards and personal loan. HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH AN EASY AND BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE to help alleviate my stresses

    Response from the owner

Thanks for sharing your experience Brenda. We're glad we could help!

The Colorado Springs credit on Austin Bluffs management and support staff are awesome in professional service, customer relations, and assistance to us. Check them out! The mortgage loan service on Logan street in Denver is another story. Processing of a mortgage refinancing loan is a timely, frustrating, disappointing, and stressful experience. It has taken close to three months for them to get near closing. WOW! Delays, lack of communication, addition required documents... The rating is 2 star for their initial effort and 1thereon thru the process.

    Response from the owner
