Tom took amazing care of us as we bought our second home. When we bought our first home with another lender we felt left in the dark and there seemed to be fees that just keep adding up. Our experience with CLG was awesome, we actually got money paid to us! Tom spent so much time explaining every single step of the process, he was so patient with me. I've since sent two relatives to him and we look forward to moving again soon.

I went with Doug Jensen for my first refinance, after my parents had recommended him. Everything went fairly smoothly. He took over a loan from another company that kept delaying my refinancing close due to paperwork issues on their side. He was more than happy to take over and finish the loan. The mortgage company that I went with easily transferred the loan to him. My prior mortgage company was GRACIOUS about the transfer. I even referred several people to Doug in years that followed. These people told me he wasn't getting back to them. I told them that's odd. However, I had the same problem this year. I tried to contact him. I left a message and he chose not to return my call. Weeks later he sends me an email saying we should look into whether refinancing would be a good option. I emailed him back letting him know he never called me back weeks ago. I felt wary along the way of attempting to refinance with Doug this time. He is a salesman. I felt he was condescending and patronizing when I showed any hesitancy or wanted to think about things. I caught him in several lies along the way. When I decided to pull out of refinancing because the cost and fees weren't adding up to be in my benefit and my wariness with Doug. I was encouraged by family and friends to seek comparison quotes. Everything was more expensive with Doug- fees and all. When I attempted to transfer over from Doug to another loan officer. He told me he chose to put my appraisal on his credit card since the appraisal was going to be covered by the lender. No doubt this is a tactic for him to rack up skymiles or points on his credit card. But I know he tells himself and others it is because he is a nice guy. He said he was working on transferring my appraisal Feb 11th. He made me promise over and over that I would pay him once the appraisal was transferred. I promised him multiple times...he continued to delay and play games. He would send me documents I already had when he knew my loan officer's office was closed and could not verify if these were in fact what was needed-and demand payment immediately. Finally after promising him on Feb 27th I would stick him with the fees of the first appraisal and get a new one that I could obtain for less -he all of a sudden produces the documents needed. He complains I wasted his time 5-10 hours. However, he wasted a lot more of mine. I regret ever doing business with him, or sending business his way. I am not one to write bad reviews. I like to notice the good vs. comment on the bad. However, I felt others should be warned.

Thank you for your honest feedback, and we apologize your experience was less than you expected. We set a high standard for ourselves at Community Lending Group as well as a high standard for our clients’ experience in working with our company. Your experience was very disappointing to us, we truly are sorry. We have addressed these issues with Doug and feel confident this will not be a repeated experience for future clients. We are always looking for ways to learn and grow to better improve our clients’ experiences and your feedback has helped us do that. Thank you.

Dylan said he would stay in touch and he did. He said he would get us a great rate and he did. He said he would get us any answers we needed and he did. He said he would get us funded and closed in time and he did. He exceeded our expectations and did everything he said he would do. This is extraordinary in this day and age and he also did this during the Covid 19 Pandemic. We highly recommend Dylan for anyone looking for a home loan. Glen and Kathi Salter

Jeremy and Blaine are the best in the business! Period! That is really all that needs to be said... but they truly made miracles happen when we were in jeopardy of losing our home we built do to our builders negligence. I can't recommend these guys enough! Hit them up if you need a mortgage loan or a refi... you won't regret it!

These guys were awesome. So quick to contact us for things they needed and we were just as quick to reply with the necessary documents. They seriously made the process so smooth. Jeremy and Blaine were always available whenever we had questions even if it was after regular business hours.

I started working with Community Lending 4.5 months before my house was scheduled to close. The first person I worked with was fantastic but about a month before I closed I found out that he was no longer with the company and nobody even notified me so I had to start over. 2 weeks prior to closing I received a call from my builder that the date would be delayed because Community Lending could not push through the paperwork on time. Nobody from Community Lending called me about this to let me know the situation. I had to scramble to find a new lender that could start and finish in the two week time frame they were given. I did wait a few days before posting this because I was very angry at the time but I would suggest working with another lender who cares more about their clients.

The Community Lending Group was great to work with, specifically Tom Horman. Tom is the best of the best. He has all the quality traits needed in an individual when going through the process of buying a home. He made every step easy and pain free. Also, and more importantly, he educates you along the way, never feeling left out or with unanswered questions. It’s your mortgage and your money, Tom puts himself in your shoes to help make the best decisions for you and your family. I highly recommend Tom and the C.L.G.

I've worked with Jeremy (and Blaine) on two mortgages and both times they went above and beyond to ensure things went well for me. Not only would I not hesitate to recommend them to others but at this point I can't imagine working with anyone else.

Justin Bancroft has been AMAZING!! He went above and beyond in finding me a good lender after others had turned me down. He answered all my questions and had resources and referrals for everything I asked and/or needed. I was able to refinance quickly and easily and am so thankful for his all his help and hard work.
