    It’s 2020, who charges a “convenience fee” for an online auto loan payment? You are forced to wait in a long line that took a half hour to get to the window. The only other option is mailing it in having to buy stamps, envelopes, risk getting lost in the mail or stolen with your information on it and wasting paper. Most pathetic customer service/experience I’ve ever had. Go to first community if you want decent service

    Needed change for a hundred dollar bill. Girl says "I need an ID" I say it's a cash to cash transaction, you shouldn't need an ID" . Manager comes on and says "you can't talk to my employees like that". Sorry to bother you, maybe she's your girlfriend and you thought you were helping. Nobody should be treated the way you 2 treated me. Only 2.5 stars for a bank. Most likely bad management. Seriously miss Vivian and Pat, those 2 knew how to take care of this branch. 22 yrs with Commerce and if something isn't done soon. We won't be here for 23. Older reviews below... Horrible wait times in drive thru. Cant go in lobby, so you sit and wait with gas burning away.. --new-- here to deposit 400 in cash, wow, how long I've been waiting for them to count it. Sorry it was so much work.

    It's went downhill here. They take forever they have all kinds of tellers and it still takes 20-25 minutes in the Drive-Thru takes longer inside. Used to be a fantastic crew there about 6 months to a year ago

    I will never work with this bank ever again. My parents had accounts at Commerce Bank. When my dad passed away, I brought them my parents POA documents. Commerce Bank refused to recognize their POA documents. All other businesses recognized my parents POA documents. This invalidated my ability to act in my mother's behalf. I could not do simple things like request tax documents be sent to my mom. The POA documents were developed by a lawyer with 50 years of experience and had previously been a Prosecuting Attorney for St Charles County, where they did their business. I found out that I was not the only person who had this problem with Commerce Bank.

    I am NOT a customer of this bank, but recently was given a check for something very important, and was told that Commerce would cash it (It was a Commerce Bank check). An older woman, and the manager said they needed a credit card and a drivers license. They said in order to cash the check, I needed 2 forms of ID. I had my ss card, and my license, but the ss card would not do. I have a debit card in my maiden name, but that wasn't good enough either. I understand they have policies, but they could have handled it a lot of different ways, and NOT made me feel like a homeless person. I needed the cash, and my bank would have held it for a few days because of the large amount. Anyway- I would NEVER send anyone there or suggest them as a bank. At least not in St. Charles. It doesn't take much effort to be kind and understanding. If you are a rude person- get out of customer service. Or learn to fake it.

    75% incompetent staff. Took 45 minutes at least to end up not being helped. The lady who attempted to help me didn't look at my paperwork, didn't listen well, didn't understand what I was after. She talked to someone else who didn't know how to help, ended up talking to the branch manager who sort of helped, but if they would have looked at my loan account numbers and dug in a little they would have noticed the issue and helped me fix the problem. I have 2 vehicle loans from them and had trouble with getting information online. Ended up on customer service phone line for another hour, transferred between several departments. Seriously a joke, the whole company needs to get their ish together. Wouldn't bank here, go somewhere local. UPDATE: On Thursday I was told by the online banking customer service (who, after 5 transfers and an hour of my time on hold, explaining my issue, and getting transferred around) tried to help but couldn't, told me I would receive a call back, most likely the next day, which would have been Friday, it is now Sunday. The "response from the owner" below was to call customer service to get my issue resolved. Tried that, now it's your turn to call me back. Frustrating. The issue is one of my loans is in my personal name the other is in my business name and I can't create an online login for the business account. I keep getting (and so does online banking customer service) an error message saying that there is a problem. The last guy I got in the online banking customer service was great, and I do believe that he did what he said he would do and talk with a specialist who was supposed to call me back, but hasn't. The issue is we can't get our Quickbooks to balance with the statements, and need to see where the problem is.

    I have been a commerce bank customer for nearly 8 years and this is the worst branch I have ever been to. Mostly all the staff have terrible attitudes and are very unfriendly. Especially the teller Sarah with the long brown hair. She has a nasty attitude and is very unwelcoming. This staff needs a reboot on their customer service skills.

    Online banking is never accurate and is completely unusable. Toggle system is a decent concept but unfortunately doesn't work either. Not worth the hassle. Find another bank unless you're fine never knowing how much money you have in your accounts.

    Worst bank branch ever. The customer service is terrible. I closed my account and all credit cards after being a customer for over 20 years. The branch manager is unhelpful and their loan person is equally as bad. I can't believe they have these type of people in a customer service driven industry.

    Each time you go here they tell you something different. They make copies of personal information but then the copies disappear. You never know if your personal information is secure. Trying to get things done after a death in the family is impossible. Don’t bank here. Run, don’t walk, to another bank.
