Citizens Bank Lewis Ave, Toledo

This review is based on a true story, and is a glowing endorsement for Huntington National Bank. This bank is run by Overdraft Nazis. A few days before payday, I went to bed with just over $1 left in account. Woke up the next morning, app said I had -$5. I moved money from my savings account to cover it (mind you this all happened within about 6 hours). Later that day, I was in the negative due to a $35 overdraft charge. They wouldn't accept the fact that I moved money to cover right away unless I signed up for $30 Overdraft Protection via linked savings account with a $6 fee every time it was necessary. (Same protection that is completely free at Huntington in addition to 24-hour grace if the funds are not available in the savings) The Overdraft was initiated by a payment to Kroger Fuel 5 days prior. It hadn't shown on my account until somewhere around 3 AM when I was fast asleep. On my way into the bank to dispute my charges, I stopped to get fuel using my Huntington debit card. It posted to my account IMMEDIATELY. In short. If you are looking for a decent bank for a checking/savings account, pass up Citizens and head to your nearest Huntington branch!

Citizens bank as a whole is a joke. The worst bank in the U.S., they nickle and dime you EVERY chance that they get. Also, they will hit you with ridiculous service fees that are outrageous. Do yourself a favor and use a different institution, literally ANY OTHER institution. The ladies at the bank itself are kind and helpful, but that doesnt nake up for Citizens insane fees, and ridiculous banking app.

I called to see how long a check takes to clear . I spoke to Ashley and she was rude . She cut me off while asking the question. The reason for the check not clearing was veterans day .Great way to be rude to a veteran!

Always a smile and greeting from employees. Only one drive thru to get quarters though for laundry. Hard to get out and walk in when your handicapped.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I've been banking here for several years and never had a bad experience.
