    Hello. I visited Citadel in Thorndale PA this morning. Every Wednesday morning I stop at the S. Coatesville branch but unfortunately the ATM in the lobby was out of service. So I figured to just stop at the next bank along the way to take my rent out which the Citadel ATM's let you take as much as you want. Anyway I stopped at Presence Back at 1st and 2avenue Coatesville, but literally right on Lincoln Avenue. I put the card in, put the amount in, set by step. When it came time to get my card, it only popped a little bit. I tried to grab it but I could not get a good grip on it. Within a matter of seconds the card was sucked back in and on the screen it told me to contact my financial institution, which I did. I stopped at the main branch in Thorndale. First off, the staff was spectacular. So helpful, quick and they even printed me a new debit card which I thought it would have been sent in the mail. I just wanted to thank everyone that helped me, and quick. The teller (I believe her name is Susan). Any way if you don't mind passing it on to her. Thank you soooo much. Have a wonderful day,.     horrible place that likes to steal money and make it impossible to get good service everyone is nasty! and over the last few months i’ve had the worst experiences with them both in the branch and on mobile banking. i would never recommend this bank to anyone

    New review: seriously the greater needs to tone down her voice. She's way to loud and echoes inside so it blasts like a speaker 2nd of all, we had an appointment done and of course had to wait bc they don't know how to time manage their own appointment. Bc of it, had to reschedule my other appointments even further out bc i didn't want to run late, even thou i scheduled with enough time for my appointments. I can't stand ppl making me wait or me being late for something that i made sure i had at least 15 mts to arrive early bc i don't like to b late or waste my time or someone's else. Branch needs to step up with their own scheduling. Older review:Great customer service, thru drive thru or in person. The front person was very professional and kind to listen what i needed to have done today. The person that assisted me , sorry again i forgot her name. She was amazing! She had to get my name changed in the accounts (mine and my husband). She was awesome!

    Horrible customer service by telephone … one would think 3rd times the charm , maybe this time they will call me bck …. Now I have to go into the branch for something that a call could have handled … do better citadel

    Citadel.is full of friendly customer service reps but i had an issue recently which was handled by Rachel at extension 6231 and it was a real.pickle for me. A credit card company had double billed me a balance transfer. It was a mess. Rachel like a super sleuth detective found out what had happened in an enormous messy situation where the cc company was not willing to.help me having clearly been at fault. I was upset. Rachel.got to.the bottom.of it and resolved my issue perfectly. I was so relieved. It is employees like her who insure that there will never be another bank for me and my family. She was excellent professional and pleasant in a not so.happy situation. Anyone can be awesome when its going great but someone very good at their job handles the not so fun days as Rachel.handled me with my situation. So thank you.

    A year ago, I gave them 3 stars for their Thorndale location, but the company has been investing heavily in itself in the face of Covid-19, really stepped up to the task. I went in and met with an rep to pay off my CC and had intended to close my account. I hated their online banking and was just over them. She completely turned the relationship around. They'd recently updated their web banking - it is now so much better. And she retained a customer. She was knowledgeable, pleasant, and all in the midst of a pandemic. Now, I love them and have expanding my banking with them.

    Multiple times I've come into this branch hoping to do some banking activities. I've been kindly greeted by the receptionist and told to have a seat and someone would be right with me. After waiting for 15 minutes I have left without being helped. This has happened on multiple occasions. The tellers and receptionist are always courteous but all the fancy folks sitting at their desks would rather you go across the parking lot to pnc to conduct your business.

    Recently opened an acct at the end of January and opened a checking and savings. The checking had a promo where if you used your checking accounts debit card 10 times you earned $250 in rewards points. The obligation was met the very next day. I went back to the branch to let them know. I was told that my points were ordered. Now since then, every phone call made to find out why the points have not been issued, there has been a song and dance from every single representative that I have spoken to. Citadel is done in my book. I have several other bank accounts, Navy Federal Credit Union being my favorite, because I have never ever had so much trouble with a bank in all my years if banking! If they could get no stars they would because they are liars! As soon as my points get issued, if they get issued I will be closing this acct. As well as reporting to the better business bureau!

    I've been dealing with Citadel since 2005, had to close it in 2011, I just stopped depositing my money!! Too many fees, too many incompetent people!! So lately I decided to reopen an account about 3 weeks ago, I deposited my paycheck myself because it takes my job at least 2 cycles, well I was under the impression that my paycheck is like cash and available right away. I checked my account today after spending 45min on the phone with techs who didn't know their jobs to close my old account! 45min!! and find out they charged me $66 in NSF?! How can I be penalized on my own money for opening an account at your bank!!! Stupid me! I thought they had improved, but their still a bunch cutthroat thieves! I hate Citadel...

    If I could go below 1 star I would. I had a business account with Citadel for years. I closed it and was at Bank of America for a while and had need for a new personal account so I opened one with our nice friendly (or so I thought) local credit union. I opted to not get paper statements. I had over 4000 in the account but I rarely used it. I finally logged into my account to find that I had 15 dollars taken out of my account in 7 of the 10 months I had the account, because I did not use it, The total in the account never dropped below 3000. 15 dollars for letting my money site... interest free mind you. ROBBERY!! They are history for me, and anyone else I can convince to go where they are not punished for inactivity.
