The most horrific place to do a car loan through. Great interest rate but that is absolutely it. I had an employee tell me “it was too much work” to do paperwork to switch my automatic withdrawals date after I made a double loan payment. Another employee harassed me for insurance information after I gave them my insurance information but was told “that’s incorrect and she needed proof they are our lender “. We are looking to leave asap. UPDATE: we requested a pay off amount to move our car loan and upon sending payoff they suddenly needed more money to payoff our loan despite us asking for the payoff amount

I can not stress this enough, don’t go here for anything. Don’t open an account, don’t take a loan through them, don’t give them your business. My wife and I got our auto loan through them in July of 21. She set up the acct to be auto-drafted every month. After the first payment wasn’t taken, we called and it turns out they didn’t set it up correctly. No big deal right? NOPE! To date we’ve called 8-9 times to make our FIRST PAYMENT. Every time it’s a new issue…”oh we had the wrong acct number, we set up the auto pay wrong, we had the wrong email” (even though she received an email from them a few days prior) It is a never ending loop of excuses that have been brushed off by the folks on the phone as “oh they just made a mistake sir!” Yeah, a lot of them. I’m not sure how to deal with a company that doesn’t even operate by the rules of capitalism. I’m literally trying to PAY YOU MONEY THAT I OWE YOU and you’re not taking it. Go elsewhere if you have the choice.

Came in to bank to open an account for my niece, and was told that “do to short staff” I would have to make an appointment. I’m only available Mondays. The holiday is next Monday. They couldn’t schedule an appointment past 2 weeks for no reason at all. There were 2 ladies at the counter, one woman in her office, and not a single person in the bank. So instead of scheduling an appointment with me or because your “so busy” and “short staffed” not open an account with me today you would rather send me away?Telling me to call next week to try a schedule some time? What kind of bank are you running?
Mr. Fike, it is our goal that everyone coming into our credit union feels that we were interested in meeting their needs. Would you please contact me at 412-650-2600 x1115 so we can discuss your experience and find a way to give you the help you seek?

Unfortunately I have had to deal with CHFCU for many years. I made the mistake of getting my 15 year home mortgage with them and a second small mortgage that I had to get at the same time to keeps my points down. Recently a bought a new car and the loan came over from Century Heritage. I reluctantly acceptable but I will never do so again. My point is that I have had many years experience with this credit union. Make your life simple and avoid them if you can. There is not enough staff to answer phones are deal with customers. The hours are poor. The online site is very bad. You cannot make a payment on line. They still use old fashion coupons that need to be mailed in. After you sign the loan, good luck getting customer service. You may like the small feel at first but I assure you that you will not like the lack of service you get. Go to the bigger bank.
Hello Shawn, we appreciate the time and effort you have taken to provide us with your feedback, even though the review is negative. We always aim to provide the best service possible and we apologize that we have not met your expectations. Thank you again for your feedback.

I have been extremely pleased with this credit union up until today: I took a $37 check that I received from my insurance company here to cash it because I have an account however I was told that they couldn’t cash or deposit the check because the account that I have is a rep payee account. Okay, i say that I have an account with Tri Boro, and I was told that that I was in the wrong lane for shared branching, that I would need to circle the building to get in the other lane. Needless to say, I asked for my check back and drove to my credit union in Munhall.
We sincerely apologize that we did not deliver on our normal service standards in the contact you described. We are taking corrective action. Thank you for sharing your experience.

It seems like this decrepit bank purposefully chooses the most inconvenient times to be open. If you actually work for your money, don’t put it in this bank - you will never have the opportunity to withdraw it again! If you’re a retiree or welfare recipient, well, still avoid this bank - I have a feeling they’re shady AF. Thanks for the reply. My review was, admittedly, slightly harsh. However, your hours during the week don’t work for most people who work normal hours. And the 3 hours you are open during the ENTIRE weekend is definitely not enough. I want to transfer a large amount of money and check the status of CDs - this is not possible at an ATM or online.
Nick M, We are sorry that we have not met your expectations. We have very similar operating hours as other financial institutions in the area as well as electronic services that are available 24/7. Another convenient benefit of membership at Century Heritage is access to our extensive Surcharge-Free ATM network of 55,000 free ATM’s nationwide. We also have online and mobile banking options where you can check account balances, transfer money, pay bills, deposit checks, etc…If you would like to discuss these options we would be more than happy to assist you.

Hello , let me just say we ,me and my 83 year disabled mother, have had several issues with this institution over the years. The problems and issues have been enough to turn us against doing business with them and if it wasn't for being trapped by a home equity loan we would have left a long time ago.All of the issues have been discussed with their management and although concession were well within their power to do so but one as never been granted to us.I guess they realize my mother in failing health may not have alot more time God forebid so why so her good business she probably won't be here. One issue is fact my mother has asked to allow me ablility to get information from her account she has offer to put this in writing, but they refuse to do this and instead force her to come down to location everytime we need something.Anyways not that any of the other problems have been less important but i jump to the last one for space constraints. The issue I referring I can't go to deeply in cause I am going to have to seek legal action.According to a legal consultation I have had the financial institution with whom you do business is required to give u 45 day written warning followed by a 30 day 2nd warning and finally a 15 day period before they do any forced insurance on an individual .Century Heritage Federal credit Union hasn't done this in our case.Instead we received one letter stating they we're highering our loan and highering our loan payment. I find myself having to contact Department of Aging, Legal Services, and attorney General of Pennsylvania to combat this. All this an elderly woman disabled at the age of 83 would have a hard time doing. This is obviously what their hopeing. So in closing let me just unless you have the ability to take on another full-time job of watching them with your money or investigating their practices you are better off banking elsewhere. One Christmas they took over 800 dollars in NSF fees claiming they could stop it cause the company who it was written to kept putting it through and causing a snowball effect in the account while they collected their fee everytime. Oh did I mention we had overdraft protection but they claimed even with that they still maintained the right to denie a check. I'm sure they made that Christmas a memoriable one.

I have not had good experiences with this credit union. Let me just say my 81 year old disabled mother and I joined this credit union a couple of years ago when refinancing a home mortage. In the beginning they were helpful . But once we obtained the loan with a stipulation of direct deposit for certain interest rate the helpful turned into shrugged shoulders and appollogies of " I'm sorry we can't help you". This credit union forces an eighty-one year old disabled woman in poor health to have to come physically into their location to withdraw money. They will not allow her to make a phone call and send me her son to pick it up. This differs from in the beginning when we first joined and every other financial institution we belong to. They are well aware of our situation. Knowing the difficulty in finding a ride(we don't own a car) and getting her into someone's car is almost unbearable. We have asked them to just allow a phone call and they won't.Obviously when they know they got u they aren't afraid to squeeze. If u are considering doing business with them please remember someday your situations may change and if they are not will to help this elderly upright citizen what makes you think they will help u.
