I walked in two times to open a account and they told me they didn't have enough time to do it when it was a hour before close then came in next day and they handed me a ipad and said do it yourself then come back to cash it. So I went to share advantage and we're glad to cash my check and happy to help me.

They're alright until you have to travel anywhere out of the USA. This is the third time I've been STRANDED in another country because of this bank, I gave them all the proper information about my travels and still every single time something goes wrong and I'm left without access to my own money !! Leaving them as soon as im home...if I can even get home because of the zero customer service I get. Outrageous.

Really? 2018 and your mobile app cannot do deposits? I have to have a separate app and remember a totally different user name and password. Then wait 2 business days after I sign up to use it?!?!? Makes switching to another credit union a really good idea.

There are times where there is one teller with five or six people waiting in line and we can see other tellers walking around seemingly aimlessly. I'm not too sure why they can't just stop and help customers for a minute? It's a little annoying to have to wait ten minutes in line to do one minute of banking when there are plenty of staff sitting in chairs and chatting. I've been with this credit union for about ten years now and 9/10 visits are speedy and perfect, but sometimes the wait times while seeing staff members just sitting around chatting can be bothersome.

My experience with HFCU was great when I lived nearby. After moving away, when I would call on the phone, I couldn't get any help. At one point when I saw a fraudulent charge and I was concerned about ID theft, I called and left messages ALL DAY LONG and never got an answer or a returned message. By the end of the day I went to a new bank and opened an account there, all while on hold with Centricity. To make matters worse, it took over 4 months to get my money from Centricity after asking for my accounts to be closed. What a disgrace! It really is a shame, because my previous experiences with HFCU were good.

Worst costumer service. Ridiculous service fees they charge.

Worst consumer experience ever! Told me I had to wait 7-10 for my card before I can purchase -biggest bunch of security bs. How about you ask me very specific questions about the last 3 places I have lived, or my employer, or my bank, or who’s my car loan through.

Most card issuers to take 7-10 business days for a card to arrive, but as soon as it does, it is available for activation and purchases immediately. We are, however, happy to announce that we have invested in operations that will allow us to print debit cards immediately, right from the branch. This process is in development and does not have an exact start date, but we are working hard to put this feature into place as soon as possible. There are many different spots that our members may need to answer security questions, some of which are pre-selected by our third party vendors, such as in the online banking platform. Amazing people. We do most all banking through USAA but had a loan through Hermantown and we had a horrible hardship and I didn’t know what to do. Well, one call here and the loan department helped us out so quickly. I have been still working with USAA and it’s been over a month and a half and USAA still hasn’t helped. I am going to switch our accounts as soon as my husband can sign his name. Not impressed with USAA - they see you as a number and Not a person. Thanks so very much and I can not say Thank you enough. Less stress for better healing.

I love HFCU as a bank and their policies. The tellers on London Road are just awesome and so willing to help. The only thing that is frustrating is that if you call the 729 number it goes to automation. What happened when an actual person was able to answer the phone when the bank was open? Thank you!!
