Why would you do a system upgrade in the middle of the week? Why would you not tell your customers that your online account will no longer work after the upgrade (instead of saying it will be unavailable for 2 days)? And then after the upgrade, you cannot access your account on the new online site? I called the credit union 141 times on the Monday after the Wed/Thur conversion. Busy, busy, busy. I got through once, and the receptionist made me feel like it was my error that I could not get online. When I said maybe I should take my money to another institution, she said I had the right to do that. She put me into a voice mail (around noon time) for the person who can help me get back online, and I did not get a call back. The next day (day 7) I reached the receptionist who said she would call me back in the afternoon to get me online. On day 8, I reached the receptionist in the morning. She asked if she could call me back later in the day. I said NO, letting her know we did that the day before. She did get me set up. A day or two later I did receive a phone call from Vickie, the credit union Manager, who profusely apologized for what had happened. A side note. The tellers at the Lewiston branch (Lucy and Sam in particular) are excellent and always made me feel welcome.

I had a job interview there once and I was told that the "French Catholics" that go to their bank wouldn't like that I had a tattoo on my arm. A Hebrew tattoo that means "Faith". They were so rude I left that job interview in tears because they made me feel like I was stupid. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

I don't recommend this bank!! They recently updated their app, and I was locked out of my account and not able to get back on. I tried calling, but they always have the phone off the hook, and I only got a dial tone. I had no choice but to go in person to get my mobile account working again, I waited in the line for 30 minuets at the Lewiston location (the lines are ALWAYS long, especially in the drive-thru) and I was given a paper with directions of how to reset my mobile account. I got home, followed all the steps, and still was locked out of my account. I saw this as the final straw after many years of being frustrated with the poor service with this bank. I recently finally closed my all accounts with central Maine credit union and switched to a different bank.

Bank had their app down and were unable to tell us correct balances for over a week. They told us all systems would be up and running on Friday, and we still cannot get into the app, and cannot give accurate balances, and no body will answer the phones at the bank. Get a busy signal when trying to call.

Terrible, terrible bank. Put your money elsewhere. When the bank made errors with my mortgage and escrow they would not admit their mistakes. I asked to speak to someone in charge and was told that I could not contact the "Board of Directors" directly. Debit cards are constantly being hacked or do not work. Many times have I been to Hannaford and my new card from CMFCU did not work. Talk about embarrassing when there is a line behind you! Then, I could walk thirty feet to an ATM machine and withdraw cash immediately. It is always an inconvenience. Online banking is constantly down for "upgrades". On Friday December 3rd I went to the bank because the phone line was busy all morning. When I opened the door there was a line from that spot to the customer service desk. People were very ANGRY. They were unable to access funds for multiple days. The worst part of the situation was how bad I felt for the front of the house workers. They were scrambling, being yelled at, pressured, etc. My heart went out to them. In my opinion, you should never do upgrades on a Wednesday through Friday. The weekends would seem much more appropriate. Oh, did I mention that the Lewiston residents receive their Social Security checks on the 3rd of the month? Many of those people were unable to get to their funds. CMFCU definitely dropped the ball this week! They are now closed on Saturdays, outdated technology for sure, tone deaf management, the list goes on...

Very upset with how mobile app suddenly stopped working on my Android. Was told there was problems with Iphone users but that was fixed. Obviously they messed it up for Android users but didn't care.

Staff is extremely professional, and prompt with answering quickly. I have found that particular aspect to be difficult living on the west coast (Arizona), as it takes time and time + to get a live person on the line despite a membership. Both my father and mother have used this credit union for decades, recommended them to me, and they are always kind and professional. I’m happy to live in Arizona, and use CMCU as my main credit union. I had a debit card issue this weekend, called first thing Monday morning and my issue was resolved in a matter of minutes. This type of service is reassuring and comforting! Thank you CMCU!

Website and app constantly down for "upgrades ". If the upgrades were any good then the ap wouldn't br crashing every month.

My husband and I used the ATM last month, and it gave us $20 less than what was taken out of my account. They said they would count the machine and return my money, but they claim their machine was correct. Who's to say my $20 didn't go to the person before or after me? Not impressed. I called immediately with our receipt/transaction information, and they assured me it would be handled, I don't trust them.

Staff is very argumentative and not willing to accept when they have made a mistake. Can not get through via phone due to busy signal all day. New system upgrade was HUGE inconvenience.
