Carver Federal Savings Bank W 125th St, New York

The worst employee by the name of Melody Anderson whose poor customer service and incompetence is a valid reason to not just close all accounts but also alert others to not do business with Carver Bank.

I walked into this bank to speak with managerJanet Beach who is never in after 4pm. Manager does not return calls and is rarely ever in the office. Employees all seem clueless and not helpful. I was referred to this bank but took my business to the bank next door instead. To the executive team pls ensure your management team is the branch 5 days a week.

The customer service is terrible ! I especially had a horrible experience with someone by the name of Patricia Espinosa, I believe she is a manager or assistant to the vp. She was especially rude and clearly did not want my business. To the executives at Carver, you need to revisit your hiring process and hire competent people that can do their job well. She needs to be fired immediately. She either hates her job or she’s incompetent and should be fired.

This bank has been in NYC for more then 75 years, was the first bank to allow blacks and spanish people to have banking needs. It's a community bank that offers business checking accounts and Free personal checking accounts with direct deposit. They also offer free savings accounts and CDs. They also offer Western Union, money orders and they cash check for a small fee. At times it can get busy because they are under staff but they are always nice and will help you with anything you need.

This is a great bank. They have a bigger free atm network than the big banks and they also have prepaid cards which most banks dont offer.

I hate that they have customer service separate from the branch service. The branch gives information that doesn’t match what the customer service gives. I’ve had so many issues with this bank

My grandfather has had an account with this bank for decades and now that he’s very old and he needs help with his account NOBODY answers the phone, it’s just a recording that continuously plays, due to his health and his age he cannot walk but that doesn’t matter no one picks up The phone at all …call them in the morning you can call them in the afternoon you can call them in the evening and they keep telling you your wait time is over 10 minutes I’ve held on this line 30 minutes several times and no one picks up I told my grandfather I know you’re not rich but take your $385,000 out of that bank ….you saved well but you can do better elsewhere, Someplace where they actually care about their customers

Never enough tellers working and their systems are antiquated. A couple of the personal bankers were completely incompetent. On the positive side, everyone is courteous and friendly.

i find carver to be a very good experience the teller are extremely helpful,and they make banking with tellers a good thing, im online trying to get my lost card reissued, and its impossible. i give up. i will go to the bank it will take less time.

I've filed a complaint with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency because they lost my direct deposit.
