BrightStar Credit Union South, Pompano Beach

I visited the Bright Star Credit Union in person to pick up a new Debit Card , which they could not give because the excuse was, in order to open the draw they needed two keys and the person which the keys was unavailable. It’s been several weeks and I still can not withdraw any money from my account due to the fact that I don’t have my debit card . Please think twice before opening an account with Bright Star Credit Union Bank.

I am very pleased with my Pompano Branch. The building is always clean and organized. Every staff member is friendly, helpful, professional and personable. I feel like family when I enter the building. Everyone knows my name and treats me with respect. PLEASE keep this team of professionals together, they are a fantastic group!! Go Pompano!

I was a member for several years and found out the special rates and deals aren't that special. Then my account was hacked. BrightStar would not protect me, or cover any of the charges because they happened for more than 90 days. Even though I or them did not discover the fraud at the time, because the fraudulent charges happened for more than 90 days they would not help. At least that's what they told me. I will never do business with them again of course.

Wife and I just opened a new account today, not busy, friendly. They welcomed everyone that entered. I'm more of an online banking person that just wants a "truly free" checking account that does not have unreasonable requirements like Hells Cargo does. So far so good.

Let me start by saying that the people at this branch have been super helpful, and efficient when they have the opportunity. However, the service here is terribly slow. I’m not sure if the branch is under staffed, or maybe it is a schedule problem. My last 2 visits should have taken maybe 15/20 mins. All I had to do was sign a few papers. Even with only 2 people in front of me, I have waited over an hour to be seen. Again, once I was seen, every person at the branch is professional, and nice. They are not the problem because I can tell they work very hard. But it’s ridiculous. Something has to be done about these wait times, before you guys lose customers.

If there was a no star I will give them . the worse bank to deal with . from waiting till talking to the unprofessional MGR. Named Narima Mandan . Never returns a call , very bad on follow up . had to drive 3 times to the branch to bring documents to open a simple checking acct . I opened a bank acct so sinple with a differwnt bank. employees like that should never be working . especially a MGR. Also 2nd time before my appointment with Narima a customer so nice was complains why he had to go there so many times to open an acct or drop docs . Narima told him to leave . the customer was right and she treated him badly where the customer closed all the accts and relationship with Brightstar . I will never have my friends or relative go there . I hope this post gets to the higher management and take some action . im a MGR for a company and never seen something like this .

The employees at the pompano location is amazing. I am a new member and the service I received was great. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. I will be referring my family and friends to BrightStar.

Went to this branch to submit documents for a car loan and the manager, Narima, was super helpful! The wait was not long at all and she was very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this branch to a friend.

The most friendliest wonderful people from the moment I walked in they couldn't be more helpful Alex was great and the tellers wonderful also . . on vacation and felt like I was a member of the highest standing . a credit to this credit union
