    Terrible company... went to refi my car and was told it shouldn't' be a problem after I gave them all the information. They ran my credit and all came back good. But they said NO because the car was a 2013. I was doing this for a cash out option. They screwed my credit up because they ran it. They had the car information prior to and knew what I was doing. Why not just tell me that in the beginning? Why mess take my time? Why run my credit? You guys really hurt a 20 year military Vet that needed the cash out for a medical procedure.

    I was an early member of BMECU and loved BMECU for its service and the way my loans and accounts were handled, friendly helpful staff, and all around local customer service. But since the merger and becoming the bigger Blue...well, bigger is definitely not better. I make large five-figure business deposits, and recently they held a rather substantial check from a client drawn on one of the major banks in this country. I was told that I would have full access to the funds within 24 hours. Four (4) days later the funds were still not available and some biz accounts I had paid electronically bounced. Blue was happy to charge me overdraft fees for four transactions and, of course, those four credit accounts charged me overdraft fees...so additional bank charges in excess of $300. I contacted customer service in Cheyenne, and was told the funds would be available that day by 5 PM, a Friday. The following Monday, more overdraft charges and the funds were still not available. It wasn't until the 9th day that the funds were made available. When inquired as to why the check had been held when it's drawn on a major bank's account that literally has billions in assets, and which a simple call or electronic inquiry to the bank could've easily confirmed the availability of funds from my client (with assets themselves over $10 million), the check could've cleared. Instead I got some lame excuse about the check needing to be held for "special security." Seriously? After all these years of doing business, I'm withdrawing my funds and moving to another local credit union. Inexcusable customer service.

    Bree Bailey is a life saver! We were at CarMax and the customer service agent needed to hear the payoff amount directly from a credit union employee. She answered despite it being pretty close to closing and helped us get the numbers we needed so we could sell the car. Otherwise, we would have driven an hour home empty handed. Big thanks to Blue and Bree!

    I am having the exact same troubles as the person below me! Get used to the 30 dollar insufficient funds fee. I am calling to get my money back right now and then dumping this bank! I’ve never felt more robbed by a place that’s supposed to make you feel financially secure!!! Really bad, especially for a credit union.

    Worst financial institution I have ever had to deal with. They just want to screw their members and steal money from them because their systems can not do the same thing other institution can. Tried to transfer money from my savings account to an external account but can only transfer money from the member account. They are the exact same account, so they want to STEAL 30 dollars for insufficient funds fee when there is sufficient funds.

    I have been a member of the boulder branch for over 20 years, an original BME member. I have found every employee to be courteous and professional. I have financed many cars and personal loans with them and have always been serviced with the upmost care and concern.     They don't care about members at all. They closed my credit card that I was paying on a YEAR after my bankruptcy was discharged because I had that card when I did the bankruptcy. They told me that they can't go after me for that money. Then took away my mobile deposit capabilities. Now they sent the balance to a collection agency. The collection agency was way my apologetic than Blue has ever been! They took the bankruptcy case number and closed the collection. SHAME ON YOU BLUE

    Horrible!! Since the merger, run away!! They have been charging me an inactive fee for over a year and I had no idea since they were sending my mail to the wrong address!! I I always received mail from BMECU but never anything since the merger..$25 a month are you kidding me, so much for credit unions not being like big banks, this is even worse, $25 a month inactive fee while they make money off my money and than steal more...BMECU was good, Blue Federal credit union is very bad..oh just to rub salt in the wound I have been on hold for 20 minutes.

    I've been very impressed with Blue. Every interaction we've had has been great! They have interest rates on checking and savings accounts that just can't be beat (up to 4% APR on checking), and in my experience they've looked out for my interests first. I went in this week to talk with Mike about setting up some sort of short term investment while we save up a down payment for a house. After looking at the numbers, Mike and Derrick helped us to maximize our returns using the great interest rates on Blue's checking accounts. This was absolutely in my interests since it has no risk and no fees, where as the investment account I came in asking about would have earned Blue more money through the fees.

    I was a member of the BMECU in Boulder, and I left temporarily after the merger. Since, I've been disgusted with how inoperable the new system is. In the last two hours, I've been on the phone with two great representatives, but their online banking system is trash. 5 passwords and three emails later, I still can't access my own account number.
