Awful experience with the Boulder staff! Charles Schwab could save the money and close this branch. I opened an new account online and needed to finish paperwork with them. I was in the neighborhood so I stopped by this branch. First the Receptionist decided he was a qualified broker and could answer any of my questions. After repeating many times I wanted to speak to a broker he finally waved me over to his companion at the front desk. She proceeded to scold me for "stopping by" and said I would never do that to my CPA so why was I doing it to them. I told her I'd leave and call to schedule an appointment. She demanded she could help me then and there. I didn't want to discuss my financial information in the lobby with someone I was convinced was a second receptionist NOT a broker. She continued to push me on this. I told her this experience was so off-putting it was making me consider keeping my money with my other investment companies. Then she said "with them you would have to drive to Denver for this conversation". What kind of response was this? Horrible experience in the Boulder office: no answers, rude comments and sketchy practices by unqualified people at the front desk. Maybe online Charles Schwab is as good as it gets....

Trying to obtain assistance during their COVID closure has been extremely difficult. All branches are closed. No appointment or offered. You can speak to an intern at the call center, but they are simply polite and not helpful. A continuous recommendation that clients use the website or mobile app for all needs is not sufficient or helpful.

I came from the brokerage business working for expensive, full service brokers and can tell you this is a great company to move your money to-option to pay for full service at a cheaper price or handle you investments on your own on a nearly no cost basis.They generally bend over backwards when there is a problem. Great service on the 800#- calling the Boulder office is bad-usually get a recording and then bounced over to the 800# so it is difficult to get a broker there. They really need someone there to always answer the phone.

Wow, agree, bad service at Boulder branch! And no notary to do mortgages! Really?! I can go to a local credit union (Elevations has been awesome) or Wells Fargo to get my papers signed and I don't even have an account with them! Schwab needs to get with the program! The 1800 service is excellent I have to say. I am going to pull my money out I'm so upset and switch banks after 15 years with schwab.

I've had all good experiences (even when I needed some urgent help to sort out some poor planning on my part). Helpful front desk for routine stuff, no hard sells from the "consultant" staff. Some complex stuff I have to go home and do on the phone with their subspecialty groups which has all the problems of phone trees and such - but compared with some phone trees, even that is relatively free of wasted time and has been a pleasant interaction with even quite complex questions handled efficiently.

*Adjusted review. I had bad experiences with customer service here a couple times earlier this year and left a one star review. I assumed everyone at the branch was the same. Recently, the branch manager reached out to me to right a wrong. He went above and beyond just a sorry. It's clear that the experiences I had early this year are not what they are striving for. I will continue to do business here.

Took my mother there to switch from Morgan Stanley to a Schwab account. She's an elderly woman with Alzheimer's. I have her power of attorney and they still refused to open an account with her and myself. I had called ahead previously to make sure everything would be alright and they knew the circumstances... complete and total waste of time...Shame on you...

Very frustrating. Whenever I call, I can never talk to a human being. It is always a recorded message. Even when you press 0 for immediate assistance, you get another recording. You can't even schedule an appointment with a human, you have to leave a number and wait for someone to call you back. I consider this poor customer service!
