    Better.com made it happen! I originally attempted to go with rocket mortgage and they failed me big time. So I took a gamble and tried again with Better.com and they blew my expectations away! Great company and a great staff!

    I don't understand how they have good reviews. We went with better bc of good reviews but really regret it. their rates are not better. They only " beat" an offer we had from another lender by cutting down on the closing cost by $500. On their website, they don't post their best rates. Only when you find a competitive rate from another lender they will "match" it. It's NOT transparent. They won't tell you what their best rate is. Once we locked a rate with Better AND CONFIRMED it, only to find out days later that they DIDN'T. And at that point the rates went up. this should have been a huge flag how they can't do simple things. More red flags... Like many shared, it's impossible to get in touch the people in charge of your mortgage case. And only that one person can help you. I would get in touch with these front reps who are young kids who don't even know basic terms of purchasing a home. The only thing they can do is to"leave a message" for your advisor who may or may not return your message. They also require 24 business days to return your message. Applies to emails as well. They don't work weekends. Many other lenders are more than willing to help out even in weekends and are way more responsive. The one "advisor" assigned to your case isn't much better as they are very slow at communicating and not very informed. They always seem to have to get approval from someone "above". Their policies are VERY rigid and strict. if you don't have "x", you can't move forward at all. There is no grace period meaning once your rate lock expires you HAVE to start paying the penalty for extension RIGHT AWAY. A lot of unnecessary procedures that other lenders don't have. For reference I've purchased two other homes with another lender prior to this. Their website is "sleek" but you're pretty much doing the job of the lenders by uploading files where they ask you. Other lenders, you just give all the files at once in the beginning and they go into underwriting. Not better.com. they have an automated system that makes you do the job of a lender. The only good thing about their website is that you can pull the pre-approval letter yourself whenever you want, for whatever amount you need as long as it's under your allowed purchase limit. One star. But many other lenders are super fast at providing you with a pre-approval letter when needed. Tldr - will not work with them in the future. Would not recommend to anyone. Highly discourage serious buyers from using them

    Better Mortgage made this whole (refinance) process about as painless as possible, given the huge amount of info that has to be shared. The web interface is intuitive and generally excellent to use, communication is solid, everything moved along smoothly and efficiently. Not to mention they had the best rate and terms I could find...overall would definitely recommend for anyone looking to refinance.

    Overall better Mortgage is a great place. The people are friendly. But you can tell they are over worked by the way they try to rush through phone calls

    Had an over good experience. Loan was able to close within 21 days. The process was straight forward. Only concerns was during the documentation requests when the same tasks were assigned multiple times. The processor was quick to respond but it was a bit annoying always reaching out to her to state that the task is not applicable.

    As a real estate broker i would highly consider using another mortgage company. I have never been involved in a transaction while at closing Better Mortgage asks for more documents from the buyer after they had already sent the closing documents and advised the buyer he was set to close. The buyer drove 6 hours to closing thinking everything ready and all he had to do was sign the loan docs. No even close. At closing they wanted his prior week's pay stub. The buyer was not able to access his pay stup online nor able to get ahold of his HR department late Friday afternoon to satisfy better mortgages last-second requirement. Better Mortgage advised the closing company that it was a hard requirement and they would not close without the pay stub. The buyer continued to try to get a pay stub while staying in a motel over the weekend and was never able to get it from his employer over the weekend. They also would not accept his bank payroll deposit slip. We asked if they would go ahead and close and when he got back to colorado he would email them his pay stub. He was so tired of being passed from one person to the next over the month of working with better mortgage and this situation was the final straw. He decided to back out of buying the property. When the closing company advised Better Mortgage that the buyer had backed out from buying the property, Better Mortgage then changed their mind and said that they did not need the pay stub. The buyer was already gone and on his way back home to Colorado. Better Mortgage tried to get the buyer to come back to closing but that made him extremely mad that they didn't need the requirement all of the sudden after he had spent two days in a motel over the weekend hoping to close on Monday morning. This company affected the buyer, seller and multiple real estate agents involved. Im still blown away by how this all went down. Better mortgage will treat you like a number and not a person.

    Was honestly so shocked at how smooth it was to get a mortgage from Better. The last time I bought a house it was was stressful and everything was down to the wire, not knowing if it was going to close on time. This time we were done with 5 days to spare. This is all on top of the fact that it was a lower rate and beat my closing costs by about 2k vs. my previous lender. Highly recommend!

    Really appreciated the simplified approach to refinancing with Better Mortgage. As we communicated our goals to Better Mortgage they made sure they understood and explained our options, and then walked us through every step of the way. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by the cumbersome amount of items required, they divided the process into small tasks assigned a few at a time using an online portal that made it very clear and straightforward to submit and see where you were at in the process. The person assigned to us was very responsive and would message us back within minutes, and answered his phone line directly every time we called, no waiting on hold, back and forth phone tag or days for a return call. We stayed on task and on schedule for closing. Would definitely recommend Better Mortgage to anyone considering refinancing.

    I was going to go with a family friend, but after doing some shopping around decided to go with Better. I would say that overall I am happy with the outcome. The process was straightforward and simple. I definitely like that I saved thousands of dollars in fees that other companies would have charged me. I think they still have some growing pains and it was a little difficult at times getting ahold of the person assigned to my loan, but otherwise everyone was friendly and helpful. When I buy my next house I’ll probably go with Better.

    I was a first time homebuyer and really enjoyed my experience with Better. The entire process was transparent and it was always clear what was expected of me. They had a relatively short window from when I formally put in my application to closing and they delivered at every step. I also found they gave me greater flexibility as I fit the loan terms (down payment, points/credits, etc) to my situation.
