there has been two recent times I needed to conduct business at NE 3rd Street branch in 2022. Prior to this year I have not had any need to visit that branch for at least the last 5 years. I have nothing but very good things to say about the service and professionalism of the staff I encountered. I will remain a loyal customer.

    Response from the owner

Thank you for the positive review about your recent experience with Bank of America. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know.

Not adequately staffed (I've only ever seen 2 tellers), super slow, don't even attempt to reach someone at branch level on the phone and the drive through is always closed, limited hours...what bank closes before 5:00pm everyday and doesn't stay open later on Fridays?

    Response from the owner

Hi Robin. I'm sorry your experience with our financial center team wasn't what you expected. Absolutely horrible customer service! Make no mistake about it ,you are a number that is all you mean to them. My payroll was held up for 2 weeks! 2 weeks while they verified funds, the whole time my checks were coming from U.S. Bank. They said that was standard , it absolutely is not standard. Go to a credit union , these people deserve to rot in history.

    Response from the owner

It's disappointing to hear that your experience wasn't at the level you expected. We use many factors to determine if a hold will be placed and for how long. We do not collect funds electronically from other banks as soon as you deposit the check. Time is needed to process the check and for the check to reach the paying bank, then for the funds to be collected. Online banking will provide the most up to date information on when funds will be available. If you need further assistance, please reach out to a member of our Social Media Client Care team on Twitter at https://twitter.com/BofA_Help or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BankofAmerica

Cheryl was awful, she is routinely unhelpful. I arrived at the bank the other day with 45 minutes to spare and the bank was empty, with the exception of the staff, but Cheryl assured me my best bet to receive the help I needed was to call customer service or to make an appointment for another day... Now I would never normally go out of my way to write a review deliberately bashing someone, but every time I go to this branch it's around this time and she routinely tries to get me out of the bank as quick as possible with the minimal amount of effort. This is such a frequent occurrence that I avoid this branch if possible. If you need anything even remotely more complex than a simple withdrawal head to the other branch in downtown.

They have restricted their store hours to be abysmally inconvenient, and further inconvenience customers with the highest fees for cashing checks.

    Response from the owner

Hi Ashlon, we're very sorry to hear of your expectations during your visit. We appreciate you sharing this feedback with us as we'll be sure to provide this to our leadership for that location. However, if you happen to need any additional assistance, please reach out to a member of our Social Media Client Care team on Twitter at https://twitter.com/BofA_Help or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BankofAmerica. ^matt

I checked first with Bank of America website about their policy on third party checks. It clearly stated that BA accepts third party checks as long as it's properly endorsed. I had my husband sign his check, and I sign it, and off we went to BA. I told the teller that I"m depositing my husband's check on my account. She said, that they don't accept third party checks. I told her that it stated on Bank of America's website and policy on third party checks that they do, but she just shook her head and said that they don't accept third party checks, and that my husband should just try to cash from the bank that issued the check. I think that Bank of America should train their employees more on their policies, or change the policy on your website, whichever one has the wrong information. How disappointing!!

Went today 9/11/2020 to the bend Branches of BofA both were closed at 1pm with no explanations. I called the 800 number and the person said I was one of numerous callers saying the same thing.. She said that they closed because of smoke in the area??? All other banks in the area are open. What is going on???

Drive thru is always closed or broken. Seems to be very under staffed...less employees everytime I go resulting in longer and longer wait times. Why?? I only do business here because I like my Alaskan Air Credit Card.

It is 60 miles to travel for me to the nearest BoA branch. They won't accept my Tribal ID. They only want a state ID. Nor will they accept an expired travel Passport - which restricts my TRAVEL, not my identity! The First Residents are still unrecognized at this bank now matter how assimilated & incorporated we are!
