I had a meeting with John Spahn to open my Simple IRA account. I asked a question that neither one of us knew. I thought he was just going to make up an answer like the Matt did at the Germantown location off Middlebrook but he didn't! He actually called merill and got to the bottom of it. Although I run 4 dental offices, I like dressing in sweats when I go places to see if they will treat me differently but he was great! I did have an appointment for 12pm. Walked in at 12:05 and I didn't have to wait even 15 seconds. Highly Recommended!

I was just there and needed help from a representative. There were two present and only one with a person they were helping. The other was not busy. Meanwhile the bank tellers were busy with other people. The manager heard me tell the teller what I needed and came out and told us that they couldn't help us because they were too busy. Go to another branch. This was at 1 pm. They were open another 3 hrs and we said we would wait. He told us that they had appointments coming in. I asked if he could just try and to listen to me and what I needed. He practically yelled that we needed to go elsewhere and they would not help us. He never even listened to me or asked what we needed. Absolutely The WORST MANAGEMENT EVER. He needs to be fired!!!!!

Worst customer service. I stopped by the branch today to deposit some checks because I exceeded the mobile deposit limit therefore went to the branch. Since the counter was not busy, I skipped the ATM and went to the counter. Since the queue got longer, a guy came to open the next counter and waived at me so I went the counter, not even a greeting. He asked me I was there and I told him. He asked me if I knew I could just stick the checks in the ATM very rudely. I said yes. He was very rude to me and deposited my check for $10 less since the payer wrote DollarXXXX and Ten Cts 00/100 even though the amount section clearly said XX10 00/100, he said he had to go by the amount written. He said it means Ten cts and didn't accept my explanation. He kept repeating himself rudely. I just deposited for 10 less since I did not want to make another trip to the bank. I did not expect such customer service from a reputed bank like this. I wanted to open by new small business account in the branch which was the 2nd reason I went but I changed my mind and walked out. I am never going back to this branch.

They are horrible when the armored truck came in there was only one teller who is also responsible for assisting him. The line is completely full while they are in the back counting money SMH. Then Joe the teller wants to get smart and say " well I thought it was common knowledge that you can put your ID up to the ATM and make a withdrawal " ( after questioning why there's only one teller). No it's not common damn knowledge Joe that's why I'm standing in line you idiot as well as everyone else ! I would never come to this low scale management run bank again actually I'm cancelling my acct ASAP and taking my money to another bank ( better idea 💡).

I usually go to the Muncaster and Redlands Branch in Gaihersburg (they are very nice and courteous at that branch) but This Branch it’s closer to my house. This was the second time I have used them and it the second time I had an issue. The teller had the greatest idea of offering me an “upgrade” of my saving account. Which had a higher interest rate. I asked her if that will be the only changed and she said yes. I knew something was not right but I agreed to make the change. They sent me to talk to Hamid Ali. He was very nice at the beginning. I asked him again if there was any other changes and he said no. He did the “upgrade” and gave me the disclosure papers. I had the regular saving account and this new one had a fancier name (it’s just amazing how they try to sell you something by just adding a fancier name) When I begin to read the disclosure I just notice a few changes besides the interest rate (odviously, it was not an upgrade). I had my 3 yrs old and my 4yrs old sons so I just read the few firsts paragraph in my car before I left. Of course, I went back and asked to get back on my previous account and the guy at the door told me that they did not offer that account anymore and that it will get close eventually, so might as well just close the account right now. I know, what a joke! Odviously, I got very upset and told them what happened (isn’t that false advertisement?) and the guy next to him, I think his name it’s Pye, jumped in and assisted me in making the change to my previous account. Oh, I almost forgot to mention. When the nice guy, Mr, Pye, was helping me, Mr. Ali had the audacity to tell me that I only needed $75 to reach the $500 minimum balance, which was one of the “upgrades” they did to my account. This guy fail to tell me that it was a minimum balance of $500 but took the time to do the math and tell me that I JUST needed $75 more for them not to charge me a $8 Monthly fee. I have to say, he (Mr Ali) did offer me to give me a loan for a car and/or a house. I most certainly will not go to this branch for that type of service. Hopefully I won’t have any future problems with this unpleasant experience. Ps. Thanks Pye for being the ONLY Courteous and with common sense person in this branch.

Manager slammed his fist on the counter because I asked for $50s! So I slammed it harder and told him he's not very intimidating. I hope corporate pays attention to these reviews... I would NEVER open an account here, and I'm a business owner.

I only gave this branch 2 stars because I like to use the ATM. Customer service is the worse. Those people are not helpful. If you have an issue do not go to this bank. They are careless and will not resolve your issue. You'll receive better service at any other branch or by calling customer service 800 number. I've been with BOA since 2007 so I obviously like it but I do not like this particular branch.

I would possibly give them zero, if I had that option.... They wasted entire time of my wife because of a notary stamp on last saturday. first BOA said there is not enough space under the paper to place a stamp, some of them go just by appointment! she went over 5 BOAs in the area from Germantown to Gaithersburg, non of them provided the service.....on the way back home she stops by Wells Fargo at Middlebrook RD shopping center, they took care of it within 5 minutes. The same thing happened to me at BOA in Georgetown/ DC, the guy is telling me that it'll take 1.5 hour wait-time or call to schedule. The next day I call in, he takes all my information to schedule, then he tells me that Notary is leaving early, sorry. I guess they are instructed by upper management not to take care of things that directly does not make money for. I opened my account in over a decade ago, but since then they have increased their charges and their services are worse getting day by day.Getting ready to say bye to BOA.
