Ameris Bank Nw 43rd St, Gainesville

Worst bank in Gainesville! My mother passed away and they refused to close her accounts after providing them a death certificate. They said due to policy, there is nothing they can do. Her checking account has zeroed out and now they are bleeding her money market account through insufficient funds and fees. I explained to them that my mother is DEAD and to please close the accounts... Sorry sir, there is nothing we can do due to policy! Stay far away from this bank. Just keep going down to Vystar where they never forget that it is your money! Ameris Bank Just bottom line No community!

Yesterday I  closed on my first home.  I worked with Dan Coffey as my mortgage banker throughout the 8 months leading up to that event, which included serious inquiries into 4 separate properties.  During each step, Dan made sure I was fully informed of what was happening and why.  He readily and clearly communicated any information I needed, including detailed breakdowns of all of my financing options for each property that I looked at.  Dan is professional, honest, friendly, and a joy to work with.

Terrible bank. Would never use them if I knew that they were gonna waste so much of my time. Stay away from this place if you have any common sense.
