    This bank is absolutely horrible.I cosogned a car loan through them for my daughter and nothing but trouble getting her bill mailed to her after she moved. They had no problem sending late notices for bills she wasn't getting to her current address, but blamed the post office for her not getting the monthly bill. Unfortunately, she was in a total loss accident with the vehicle so insurance paid them off. We are currently dealing with them sending late payment notices and phone calls demanding payment. The person on the phone says the payment insurance made didn't happen. Hopefully I will get this resolved when I go and thalk to them in person. My advice to potential customers is to run, not walk, to a more reputable bank.

    I have made payments specifically to the principal of my loan for over 6 years only to find that they started to apply those payments to regular payments and had me paid up for months. After many calls/talk online with an associate I was finally given the phone # for a manager. This didn't help either as I asked for the payments to be applied correctly and asked for a print out of those changes. This took weeks with me calling inquiring when I would see those corrections and receive that print out. What they did was apply those principal payments all in one month and not in the months in which they were made. This made the interest rates wrong for the upcoming payments that were made.

    Pay to make a payment!? The only good thing about this place is the response time to emails. I wanted to pay my loan off, but to do it online I can only do $2000 at a time, for a $15 fee. I could have easily called in to pay it, but they'd charge me $10. I used my bank to have them send it electronically, for free. I wouldn't recommend this bank to Satan.

    I understand this bank had a major update and today, May 17, was the first day back after being unavailable all last week. So today, I spent probably 4 hours trying to access my account to pay bills. The phone number at the Dodge location rang about 15 times, then I just got a dial tone. This happened approximately 5 times. I called other branches and they transferred me to "customer service," where I got varying messages . . . the last message said, "Your wait time is over two hours." I am not sure what is going on, but this is totally unacceptable. I would prefer not to put my money in the "large" banks and rather stay local, but this was ridiculous.

    We have had several car loans with this bank over the years & have NEVER had 1 issue with them. I set my payments up to come out automatically from our bank, & we pay extra every month & that extra goes to principal every month. Don’t even have to specify. When we pay loans off before their maturity date, they ALWAYS send us a thank you letter. We had to take out a personal loan last year & they were the 1st bank we checked into & they were able to help us out. Customer service has always been friendly & knowledgable. I used to work in loans in a small town bank so I know how the process works. We won’t go anywhere else for our loan needs. Thank you ANB!

    In case someone with this bank is actually paying attention to user reviews, my name is Charles Wilcox. This bank sits in one of the financial Meccas of the United States and it is lost in the Dark Ages. They have an online payment system that is terrible to use. The first time I used it it was an unsecured payment site and my bank account was subsequently hacked. So I started mailing checks to their department which seems to take weeks to process those checks. I receive late payment notices from them because my check is stuck in processing for weeks and then they blame me for the late income. It becomes hard to really know if my payment was late and if I owe additional money on the next months payments because it takes their system weeks to catch up with itself so I end up receiving the next months bill with 2 months worth of payments requested on it. Just this month, I truly was 2 months off payment because of this confusing and inefficient system. I have an 813 credit score, so I would hope that a bank would give me the benefit of the doubt that something must be off and try to work with me prior to the following actions their representative took. I received a voicemail from Mindy in collections while on vacation and I had my voicemail setup to inform callers that I was on vacation and informing them of when I would return. Mindy immediately called my place of work to look for me, after receiving my voicemail message stating I was on vacation. While I assume she didn't reveal the nature of the call to my coworker - that would be illegal - the mere calling of my place of work was likely a small pleasure she gets off on because it will cause my coworkers to wonder why a bank is looking for me. I returned Mindy's phone call, and left her a strongly worded voicemail condemning her actions, to which she decided to go ahead and report my delinquency to creditors. I have no doubt this was a vindictive action against a well paying customer with a great credit history, all because I called her out on her sadistic way of doing business. I also guarantee my check with the full late amount and late charge was either on her desk or in processing, because she reported my delinquency on June 12 and my check was deposited with this bank on June 11. If I have a choice in the future when securing a loan, I will not do loan business with this bank and they really need to take a look at those working in customer relations.

    I bought a car and unfortunately my loan was through ANB. I am so happy that next month it gets paid off because I've had terrible experiences. I always like to give extra money towards my principal to pay it off faster. The first few months my payments looked right, on my statement it clearly showed my payment as " regular payment and extra to principal' then they moved locations and I did my payments through a live ATM machine. I would clearly asked them to put any extra money towards my principal (which I have recorded on my phone) and they wouldn't. My statements would then only say "Regular Payment". I called and asked for a manager or somebody that could help and nobody was ever available. Then I decided to go to the branch on 90th & Dodge and talk to a banker in person. The lady sits me in her office and tells me that the extra money has been applied to principal but the statements are worded as "regular payment", which I know it was a lie because 1. I had one month in between that correct it said " regular payment, extra to principal and 2. I am an assistant manager for another institution and I know how this works. Anyways after showing her how they haven't been making my payments right she told me that only way she could help me was if i printed all my statements and go over numbers so i asked for her to just pull up my statements on her computer and she said she wasn't able to so I left mad they didn't even know how to help me. Now I have been making the payments closest to my regular payment because of this reason -.-. Not to mention I was not let inside the location once on 45th and Leavenworth, I rang the buzzer and the lady just looked at me then turned away back to whoever she was helping then I buzzed again and the same happened. They didn't even bother to tell me that they would be right with me or something, customer service is bad.

    VERY DISAPPOINTED! Paid off an auto loan and was told it would take 10 business days to "close out" the loan?! Apparently they email a third party administrator who in turn initiates the process of "closing out" the loan, once they complete this process, they contact DMV in Lincoln to mail the title to me(another 3-5 days). This is done ALL electronically!!! How does this process take almost 3 WEEKS?!! Not a very good way of keeping repeat customers or acquiring new customer referrals!

    Not a bank you want to use if you value convenience. I asked customer service how I could make an extra payment on my car loan, and I was told they would only accept a mailed-in check. It's 2018, I should be able to make payments online.
