    With years Of great experience with Alpine credit union. We have never been treated as poorly as we did in May with Nikki from the south Orem office. She more less said we didn’t qualify for the loan and not understanding both my husband and I was at work and could not fax w- 2 forms at that time and we was stupid buying what we were buying. We went into the south office and was in and out within 30 min. They could not believe the credit we had and no issues at all. So Nikki don’t underestimate people and treat them this way until you know the full situation!!!!

    I recently closed an account at Alpine Credit Union. I used this account for CD investments, and since recent CD rates have been pretty abysmal (everywhere), the account had been dormant for some time, and had begun to accrue a monthly dormant account fee. Since I only get statements quarterly, three monthly fees had accrued before I received any notification of this fee. I understand the rationale and need for the dormant account fee, and don't particularly object to it, but having three of them prior to any notification seems a bit much. I asked if two of them could be waived, but was told their policy would not allow that. That is the kind of policy and response I might expect from a Bank, which is why I prefer to deal with (other) Credit Unions.

Unfortunately, when an account is not used more frequently; the only means at this time of conveying that information is the quarterly paper statements or electronically using online account access.     They are so old school. They don’t do any electronics signatures. Every time I call them they say I just have to come in, in person to solve problems. Their app never works correctly for me. Logging in is always such an issue. Anytime I try to change information on the app it always says error. I always have so many problems with Alpine, and when I call their solution is always come in. I live 45 minutes away from the closest branch, I’m not coming in! I literally cannot wait till my loan is paid off so I never have to deal with Alpine Credit Union again. Get with the times and update your app, website, and use over the phone authentication so you’re not telling people to come in just to change their address etc. So annoying.

    The Branch Manager, Nicki, is the rudest person I have ever dealt with. She is very demeaning and cold. She does not listen to what you say and she replies with pre-formulated answers that clearly show she hates her customers and her job. If you dislike customer service so much, then GET OUT OF THE BANKING INDUSTRY!! Here's a tip on how to be a successful adult: Try to listen to and truly understand what people are saying before you chirp back with an ignorant, uneducated reply. I have closed all my accounts because of her.
