    I thought I was going to have a chance to build a great banking relationship with CFE. I called customer service get details about setting up and estate account, no one could answer my questions and offered to call me back in 24/48 hrs. When the rep called back, she got my voicemail and simply left a msg for me to call back should I have any questions, but she left no response to my original question, causing me to start all over again. The hold times are ridicules. I had every doc needed to establish the account, waited for the bank to open on a Thurs, while they were having an employee meeting and didn't open until 10am, sat with a branch rep for over an hour, to find that I could not set up the account without having been a member already. He told me there were only two (2) people who work in the special accounts dept, he was given the green light to go ahead and set up the account after sending over all the paperwork for verification. NO ONE, on the phone nor the dedicated special accounts rep ever thought this was important to share. When I called back to customer service, the lady who answered said she was a lead and listened to my complaint and then put me on hold for more than 20 mins only for a guy to answer and state he was a supervisor. He didn't take down any information but said he'd address it. I knew he didn't care as he kept hitting the mute button during the conversation. I wasted 3 days in phone calls. and aprox another 3 hrs waiting around the branch. I see why the rating for this bank is so low. A secret shopper needs to be hired to get rid of the weakest links who are pulling down the bank ratings. The Winter Park branch, had an awesome coffee machine, outside of the branch rep being very nice, that was the best part of the entire process. Bank of America is enjoying the fruits of setting up the estate account for me.

    Janice team member at Mills Avenue branch I recently opened up a new account which the branch member Jordan forgot to tell me that my check that I originally open up mykl account with would be on hold which has thrown my whole account off I start off at $900 and some odd and because of all the fees my account is down like $300 Janice took the time to explain to me as a new member how your branch Holds the checks for three business day depending on the account and she went into great length to explain it to me thank God you’ve got great employees like Janice I would give her 10 stars if I could thank you Janice you’re the best for explaining everything in detail which was not explained to me in the very beginning whenever I open up my account thank you have a great day Janice you’re the best

    I've banked with CFE since at least 2001. Up until the last year, I raved about them to everyone. Their customer service was great and their information was always spot on. During the past year, I've had problem after problem. When I call to ask a question, they usually can't provide an answer and they say they'll have someone call me back. I have yet to receive a response, and we're talking about multiple calls about different things. CFE is probably still a better choice than the 'too big to fail' banks, but for the first time in at least 16 years, I'm starting to look around at other credit unions. I'm hoping CFE will get their act back together before I make a switch. 6/22/18 update: Removing a star. Although I have been able to view my credit card transactions in the past, something in their computer system has been making this problematic for the last two months. I contacted CFE by phone and even they can't see my history! They say they'll have to mail me out printed statements in 7 to 10 business days. I feel like I'm back in 2008! 8/7/18 update: Removing yet another star. I received a letter indicating I was being charged $8 for not using bill pay during the past few months. Ummm, that's interesting since I have THREE automatic bill pays set up EACH MONTH! If CFE doesn't have the correct info on how often I use bill pay, how long will it be before they forget they have my money deposited? I'm definitely looking at other banking options now.

    I had an auto loan which I wanted to pay off. I went to the branch to get the payoff amount I also called the loan service number to confirm. I paid the amount I was given. 2 weeks later received collection letter that the amount I paid was short $11. Two people from the bank gave the wrong information and noone would do anything to correct. Nice!
