Westamerica Bank W Shaw Ave, Fresno

This is the worst bank I have ever had to deal with. My mother recently passed away and I had asked them to cancel all Automatic Payments that are set up ACH. They said they can not do that but suggested I put a “Stop Payment” on each one at a fee of $30.00 each....are you kidding me? After 6 months they will cancel the Auto pay, but until then $30.00 for each one. Now I get to chase down all the ACH fees that come out of her account and cancel them myself (like I don’t have enough to deal with) You would think that after she’s been with this bank since it was Bank of Fresno and is now deceased they would be a little more helpful. I have had issues in the past with them and my mother’s account but this one was way over the top.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. ONLY 2 PEOPLE WORKING. NO ONE WAS ABLE TO ASSIT WITH NEW ACCOUNT OR ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE. POOR TECHNOLOGY THEY DON'T EVEN USE E-MAIL AND IF YOU HAVE A DOCUMENT AT ANOTHER BRANCH LOCATION IN TOWN THEY SEND IT THROUGH SNAIL MAIL INSTEAD OF BEING ABLE TO SCAN OR EMAIL. SLOW PROCESS AND POOR SERVICE. UNABLE TO HELP AND DO NOT TRY TO FIND ANY ALTERNATIVE WAYS TO ASSIST. I AM GLAD I DO NOT BANK HERE AND I SEE WHY OTHER LOCATIONS ARE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. EVEN IF YOU WANT TO TALK TO A PERSON IN THEIR "BACK OFFICE" THEY TELL YOU AS A PUBLIC YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO CONTACT THEM. REALLY STUPID HOW THEY OPERATE.

Lousy customer service. They don't seem to care about customers. They also never sent me my atm card yet and I've been 3 weeks without one.

Very poor they won't cash the check with ID cards California state aid ID card AAA card credit cards is not good enough for them they want my PG&E bills my social to cash a check

Super friendly! Great place to do your banking
