Used West Title for closing when purchasing my first home. Went fine until I get a bill from the county that the taxes were shorted and I owed a nominal amount. Called and find out that it was a clerical error with the title company. No big deal, mistakes happen. I called West Title and was told it would be looked into and taken care of. Then I get another letter saying it hasn't been paid. Call West Title again and am told it will be no big deal, it will be taken care of. Finally get a letter from the county that I am deliquent on my property taxes and am being assessed a late fee. Call West Title and I was told some one would reach out to me. Didn't hear anything for weeks. So I let my realtor know and he reached out to West Title. Immediately get a phone call saying they will send a check out and apologizing for the issues. Well that was back in May of 2022 (bought the house in Sept 2021) and here I am in July of 2022 with no check. This company is a lame duck 🦆

I've bought and sold 29 houses in the past 12 years. I used West Title to close my latest sale. Typically at closings the closer goes through the documents explaining what they are etc. At this closing it was just papers put in front of me and sign here, sign here sign here. When the HUD came they had an extra 1% commission on it. They also had missed the taxes for the buyer to pay me for the balance of 2021. In addition they were charging me $207.21 for some type of "Homestead Fee". After showing them what they all did wrong I saved $2,869.25 simply by knowing what I was looking at on the HUD. I suggest you know what you are looking at with these documents if using West Title.

West Title is one of the worst title companies i have ever dealt with in my 2 decades of real estate and with over 1000 closings! For what and how much does it take to fix an incorrect name on a Quit Claim Deed that YOU recorded without doing your own due diligence? $100-$300??? You then went ahead and insulted a potential client/former client's intelligence over a procedural mistake that happened on your premises. Instead of writing that wrong, you are bent on futility and you will lose reputation over $100. I will never do business with this moronic title and will encourage all partners to follow suit! Thanks for showing your real customer service skills...
Unfortunately David is upset because his business partner came to our office and asked for a quit claim deed a year after a closing took place. He gave incorrect information for the quit claim deed. The deed went to an incorrect entity. This was not part of a closing nor was West Title ever paid for the drafting and recording of the deed. I offered to assist David with the correction, however, I asked to be paid for the services to assist with this. I told him any errors created by West Title are always fixed at the cost of the Company. This was not our error. I guess he just wants free services for his business partners error. This review is completely unfair, inaccurate, unprofessional and uncalled for.

I love West Title, and the people awesome people at West Title! I’ve had nothing but great experiences with all of my closings. Professional, accommodating, great response time, open communication to notify you of everything going on with the deal, and list of other great things. A special shout out to Michelle & Michele for putting up with me lol. Great title service company, always have and always will recommend!

I've been working with West Title for more than 10 years and have completed more than 100 closings with them. Great Co, great people, great communication. Working with a title Co could be stressful because everybody needs to close on time and when your title Co needs to communicate with another title co on buyers or sellers side , send lien waivers, articles of corp, resolutions, etc and West Title was ALWAYS there for me. I love working with Michelle, she is the best title agent I have ever worked with!

The entire team of professionals at West Title have been extremely knowledgeable, and very helpful with all of our closings! We close at least two deals a month there and no matter the obstacle they will get in done! PRO: Efficient at quickly drafting up documents when last minute changes occur. CON: Pushy with fist time home buyer, threatened with seller pulling out of deal. Frustrated when inconsistency was brought to their attention about bill for tree removal (that was responsibility of previous owner) that forestry department said wasn't paid but they insist was (..it wasn't).
