Terrible customer service. Called me 3 days before a closing asking who our side was using as closing. This is after my side had attempted on numerous occasions to contact them. When I asked how they would not know who our side was just 3 days before closing she got upset and hung up the phone. I attempted to call back 6 times and they would not answer my call and just hung up on it. The person who I talked to was Linda Painter. Terrible service and communications.

I sold my house and they handled. Over 2 months pass and I get a property tax bill on that house. I called and talked to Linda Painter. She said all was filed with Norfolk and to email her the bill. I did the next day and asked to confirm she received and what I needed to do. No reply. I call this week two times and leave messages. No reply. The taxes are due in 3 days. I would say the customer service sux. Thanks Linda for your help. Update. Jada called today (I was busy and could not answer). She promptly emailed me and let me know all was handled and my tax bill was handled. Thanks Jada

First I will say that Linda is very RUDE in her dealing with sellers. My appointment for signing closing documents rescheduled 3 times. The closing was supposed to take place on the 1st of the month and I went to sign documents on the 30th. At the time I went to sign the documents was the first time I was asked for my mortgage information so they could request a pay-off. I was then charged a "rush" fee because of their incompetence. Because they didn't have my payoff, I didn't get any information on the proceeds of the sale. I didn't receive this information until a week after the closing from my Real Estate Agent. The environment and people were unprofessional, RUDE and left me with little confidence.

This was the first house that we had ever sold and really had to depend on our agent and VAH&S for the entire process. Our agent was outstanding, VAH&S not so much. Their stated Mission Statement of "Going above and beyond is our Mission" was not evident with our experience. It started with ignoring our and my agents' emails for almost 1.5 weeks. Then, the day before closing, we receive a call stating that we MUST get all (31 pages that we had to print ourselves even though they charged us fore the copies) signed, notarized and sent out on the SAME day or we would be responsible for not closing on time. Again, as first time home sellers, my wife and I felt very underwhelmed by the "service" we received from VAH&S. This was our experience, your experience may vary but, in all fairness, I could not recommend this company to anyone wanting to close on a home.

A week after closing VA Home Title and Settlement has asked for two different set of documents to be signed. This has held up the disbursement of funds. Sloppy

Misinformed on numerous aspects of a closing by a representative, additional fees tacked onto a HUD for services not requested, and also gave out inaccurate legal advice. Do your homework, stick with an attorney your trust for real estate closings.

Everything about our closing was handled in a professional manner. Kudos to all involved
