Brandon Ford made the whole home-buying process simple. He was very responsive and went above and beyond. Would highly recommend.

Amazing experience with my agent Miss Kitty she was the BEST !!!! She helped all along the way in getting a mortgage. From every step along the way she was the most thoughtful and knowledgeable. My credit was not the best but she helped me step by step in bringing it up to a number that was acceptable.Would like to express my gratitude to her and everyone else at Veterans First with their help . We decided to look into Veterans First to do a ReFi and was given a great rate. This was in November 2020, it's now January 30th, 22021, and we still are not given a closing date. I keep getting notices to submit the same paperwork over and over. Today, I received a notice to submit a current Mortgage Note (again) and a c urrent Monthly Mortgage statement. I'm not going to keep doing this. We either get a closing date with the info you have or I'm going to look elsewhere. I have refinanced before and it's never been this difficult. What is your problem? Our Mortage Note has not changed from the last time I sent it, so I'm not redoing it again, unless you want to pay me for my time, and my monthly statement showing what I pay has not changed. I am in a Township where I am exempt from paying only my property assessments only, not property Taxes. My last statement bares that out. So either lets get this going, in the next week or I will cancel with you and stay where I'm at or look elsewhere.
Dear Ms. Daniels, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are committed to providing our clients with exceptional service. If you feel you did not receive that level of treatment, we would like to understand why. One of our representatives will be in touch with you by the end of the business day, today. Sincerely, Veterans First Mortgage

I purchased my home using this company the first go round. Looked into refinancing recently, I guess VF was alerted that another mortgage company pulled my credit. VF reaches out to me and I tell them hey I’m refinancing the new company put an offer on the table and I love it. The rep says send it to me and I’ll see if we can get you better. I send it over a couple days later he comes back with VF offer it’s not as good as the new company but VF wants to keep my business. Chris Wooten was my rep. He was very unprofessional. He spoke badly about the new company and claimed they would just sell my loan to another company. After listening to him wanting to keep my business by bad mouthing another company, he was clearly not hearing what I was saying to him so I hung up the phone. I informed him via email so that it would be in writing that I was not going to move forward with VF in regards to refinancing my loan. He responded “I wasn’t going to waste time putting in the loan estimates. Best of luck.” He made it so easy to choose the other company and to take my business elsewhere. I no longer wish to have any dealings with this company. Their rates are higher than most and they don’t really care about the customer. Every negative review I have read about this company was proven to me in these past two weeks. Maybe this is how they train their employees, to be rude and inconsiderate to the customer. That one star should be negative stars. Just horrible

Stay far away from this company! We have been working with them to purchase a home with a closing of July 10. Just learned yesterday that we will not close as the underwriters have not completed their review. Two days before we were to close and we now do not have a date. Cross country move, so complicated and expensive. Our furniture and household items are enroute and we have no place to put them. Inconvenience is frustrating, but I am livid that we will incur thousands more in moving costs to rent a storage unit and have to pay another moving company to move things yet again due to their mismanagement! Plus lodging, meals, etc. We did our part in a timely manner... They have not!

Veterans First Mortgage has been sending me ads in the mail to take up their services. So after looking them up and checking their reviews, I most certainly will not do business with this company.

They were not even close to ready the week of closing. Despite having ample time to review our loan, during the last minutes of the game, they fell through. They asked us to do a lot of different things at the end and we did. Despite that, they said there was something else wrong in our file. If they would have told me that first I could have fixed that first. I even suggested to resolve the item first and they said don't worry about it at the time. Was approved two days later by another lender, but the seller had backed out by that time. I lost about 800 dollars in this transaction and a good bit of time. Luckily a few months later I wound up purchasing a more expensive home. I would try to work with a local company first before thinking about giving Veteran's First Mortgage a try. I think they turned off their Facebook reviews. Now their page lists the company as a Place of Worship???

Thank you to Celeste Atkins of Veteran's First VA Loans for assisting my husband and I with the purchase of our first home. The excellent customer service we received from Ms. Atkins exceeded our expectations. We were provided with detailed information from beginning to end which made the process much easier than we had anticipated. If you are looking for a company that helps make home buying as stress free as possible, Veteran's First VA Loans should be your choice! Cecil & Barbara Rozzell

Terri Schuster, the loan officer was fantastic. She expedited the paperwork, communicated with me every step of the way and we ended up closing a week earlier than projected. If you need a VA home loan, call Veterans First Mortgage and ask for Terri Schuster. Easiest process I've ever been through for a loan and great interest rates.

Not very knowledgeable. You would think that for a mortgage company that specializes in VA Loans, they would know all the little details about VA Loans, but they don't. I am a current member of the Air Force National Guard and just returned from a 4 month deployment to Afghanistan. When I spoke to the Loan Officer in Michigan, he told me I'm not eligible for a VA Loan because I haven't finished my 6 year contract. I told him I was because I just did a deployment. He disagreed, so I decided not to use Veteran's First. The mortgage company I am going through and the VA disagree with this Loan Officer. They need more knowledgeable staff
