Utah Community Credit Union (UCCU) State St, Pleasant Grove

UCCU is an awesome credit union and the Pleasant Grove branch is the best under the leadership of Stacy and Joe. What a helpful wonderful place to do business. 10 stars!

I have been a member of UCCU since 1977. When I walk in they greet me with a smile and call me by name. Even though the employees come and go they have always treated me with respect and courtesy. I am a business man and have other banking institutions but UCCU is by far the friendliest and most efficient. They do a great job!

I was helped right away and was there for less than five minutes. I needed to get a new debit card and the process was quick and easy. The person that helped me was pleasant and efficient. Great experience!

I had grandkids with me and needed a quick change and they cleared someone to do it in under 5 minutes. In and out with no lengthy issues. It was fantastic and extremely personalized!!

This is a complaint that applies not only to this credit union but to some other credit unions and banks. My experience with this particular credit union is limited, but my impression of it has been positive enough so far. However, it REALLY bothers me that I cannot contact a particular office when I have a question about that particular office such as whether or not they have a notary there at a given time. I just now called the customer service number to ask for phone numbers to two particular offices so that I could contact them about notary availability when I am ready to go in to sign a document that needs notarizing. Instead of giving me the phone numbers, she put me on hold and contacted both of the offices to ask if they had a notary there today. Not only did that make me feel like a child (or a criminal), but it wasn't helpful. I wasn't wondering about today, I was wondering about a day next week. But since I didn't know the girl was going to call in my behalf instead of give me the numbers, I hadn't told her the details of my question. Now I have to call customer service AGAIN next week and have someone call again for me because they don't trust that I am mature or experienced enough to figure out when my inquiry requires that I call a particular office and when it requires that I call customer service. It feels like I'm trying to get in touch with someone at the White House when they make such a big deal out of screening calls to the branches.

False advertising and horrible customer service. There was a promotion offered that they partially fulfilled, then refused to fulfill completely, despite acknowledging their error. Later, staff lied about the promotional offer and continued to refuse to honor it, even though previously I'd been told they would correct the error. Corporate was not helpful, either, and said they would "consider" honoring the promotional offer if I provided proof. It's obvious they don't genuinely care about their customers and will use deception to get customers. I refuse to use their services further and will continue to spread the word about their false advertising and lack of concern for those who do business with them. I guess if an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is.
