Love this bank!! Always friendly, no stupid fees and they only offer accounts to locals! I know everyone there, customers and tellers alike! I will be banking with these folks for as long as I'm breathing!

Members beware I was informed if you are buying a vehicle or recreational vehicle your sellers will have to accommodate this credit union and drive there in person to sign documents. When questioned why, was informed it was “policy” due to not receiving original documents back one time. Sellers offered to sign documents with notary and overnight originals or hand deliver due to spouse’s work schedule but was told they would not be able to tell if those were the original documents. Hello…. Notaries only witness and sign original documents.

By far the worst banking experience I have ever had. The bank is not interested in the slightest in helping their members. They're only focused on their own interest and have zero flexibility for any extenuating circumstances that may be present. - We had an account and our 18 year old wanted to open one. He didn't yet have a TN ID because he was waiting for his scheduled drivers exam. They would not accept a HOA ID that had his address and photo on it. - On several occasions we needed to access cash quickly to purchase vehicles and such. Our money was in our bank in FL. They refused to call and verify funds, look at our statements from the other bank to verify funds, or offer any assistance. - Even after 7 months of having the account, they put a hold on my paycheck because 'its our policy'. Additionally, while their lobby was closed for covid, they had 2 drive through lanes open for weeks. One day while sitting in a long line waiting my turn, I could see inside their windows (it was a cloudy day) and they had 3 tellers sitting there talking. They were rotating turns helping customers in the 2 open lanes instead of opening a third lane to expedite the wait. I would not recommend banking with this institution if you are expecting any level of customer service.

This organization is a disgrace to credit unions. Do not waste your money or time by becoming a "member". UCFCU does not offer any benefits compared to other credit unions I've utilized in the past. Plus, they are slow to implement technological resources.

Always helpful and efficient. We have accounts at other places, but UCFCU is by far the easiest to deal with. Thanks for your 20+ years of excellent service.

Horrible customer service. They set their own rules and say their rules are just like any other bank. NOT. Fees, fees and more fees. The fees came from my ordering product from overseas. For each transaction there was a 5.00 fee. Some of the items were less than 5.00, and I ordered from the same company. They charged 5.00 for each transaction. I was $50.00+ in fees before I caught it. They did not take them off. They said read your contract. Very very very fine print. But in calling other banks, they said they never heard of it. I quickly changed to Progressive Bank. Best decision ever!

Two stars going to the mobile app. 👎🏻👎🏻I’ve been here 4 years now and I’ve yet to see any improvement on the app side! Having to always sign in when you change screens from your account side to then having to sign in again to do a mobile deposit. Exit the screen an go back in and yes, no time limit set to keep you logged in,so again you have to sign back in. Soon to be 2020 and no thumb print or facial recognition yet.. the staff however are always friendly and treat you good when I go inside the Crossville branch. Also the Cookeville branch was very helpful when I was discharged from hospital after hip replacement and the lady came out to the car for me to sign paperwork. Other then the app issues I’m pleased with the service here.

Went in to open a new account and never in my life have I encounter such rude people. I guess the employees there just think that they are above everyone - even their members - but a credit union is owned by its members. I could understand if we were asking for something special - but we just wanted to open an account and they treated us like we were a bother to them - I guess they just don't like work. I use to be a credit union / NCUA examiner and if you want my advice - think twice about this CU.

    Response from the owner

Dear Mr Lizio. We apologize for your experience and how you felt. We strive to provide respectful service and we hope to get an opportunity to change your mind about us!

This is the least member friendly credit union that I have ever encountered. They have more fees and rules than a regular bank. I cannot discourage this organization strongly enough.
