I had the worst experience ever! They never helped me I just kept getting new lists of paperwork needed. Every time I would take the paperwork they would ask for something else or say they would call me back but never did.Worst of all I called multiple times to be changed to a different worker and never received a call back! Left voicemails to management as well but never heard back at all!

This is my first experience asking for assist in getting Medicare. Everyone was relaxed and friendly. Lourdes helped me out and she was pleasant and really knew her stuff. 4 stars because a list of documents wasn’t given to me when I was referred nor is it available online. (At least I couldn’t find one.). I am sure this office gets all kinds of folks and it must be hard on the staff at times but I felt everyone I was in contact with was pleasant and helpful!

Went to UNM financial services. It was fast as they are not seeing people in person so I dropped off some papers to them, and then they contact you by phone. Good job UNM.

For professionalism, it depends on whom you get. I am going through a rough patch and had never absolutely needed financial assistance before. So for my first experience I had a lady that was not very professional, was very cold, did not initiated any conversation unless it was about the paperwork, and would give one word answers if I attempted to make conversation. She made me feel bad for filling out the wrong paperwork (that I received from the information I found on my medical bill) and was very unhelpful when I had questions. I had to come back due to a missing check stub from my employer and the second occurrence I worked with Alejandra V. and she was wonderful! She made the process a lot smoother and was able to answer all of my questions professionally. She is very nice and sociable to the clients. I am glad to have had her to change my perspective on the financial aid office, or I would have probably refrained from UNM Hospital care for future medical services.

Depends on who you get. We went once and the lady wasn't the friendliest. Another time, we got Rebecca ( I believe is what she was called) and she was very friendly, helped us out immensely and was super sweet. Also, try to make sure your documentation is complete or you'll have to reschedule (and they usually give out appointments months in advance)

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I made a payment through their online system on May 3rd. Payment was applied to the wrong account (my error). Contacted them to have payment refunded (or applied to correct account) on May 20th. Was advised this process would take 2 weeks. It has now been closer to 6 weeks and I have yet to receive my refund. When I call them, their lines are so busy that I am forced to leave a voicemail, which is never returned.

I would have given them 0 stars if I could. I've NEVER felt to racially profiled and discriminated against in all of my life!! They show NO compassion or the desire to help those they serve. Im disgusted by the inflexibility of the team member that interviewed me and the organization of their policies.
