    This office is a mess. I went in to transfer money from one Union Bank account to another Union Bank account. I was told I'd have to make a withdrawal and then a deposit. Seems like a sloppy system, but okay. I was given a receipt for the deposit, but not the withdrawal. I asked for a receipt. I was told they don't give receipts for withdrawals. What? I asked why. I was told because their system doesn't generate them. I asked why their system didn't generate them. The answer was, "It just doesn't." Of course this is no answer. I asked to speak to the manager. This woman, Alma, slowly comes up. I ask her the same question. I get the same answer. OMG! This is the manager! I asked if she could call someone who would know the answer. She said she could but made no effort to do so. Insane. I got a sloppy conglomeration of print outs that roughly show that a withdrawal was made in the end. A withdrawal receipt should be a routine thing for a bank. Also, when you don't know that answer to a question, the answer is always, "I don't know. Let me find out." I later got a call from the manager. He apologized. One of the excuses was that Alma, (turns out she's not the manager, but the assistant manager) has been there 40 years. 40 years! By now she should know the answers to a simple question. That made things worse. Apologies are worthless if they're not followed up by action. Clearly training in this office is poor. Its been a consistent theme for Union Bank in recent years. It was a great kick in the pants to move my accounts.

    Worst bank ever. Their Customer Service Call Center Department are not helpful at all. They closed out a service request ticket without a resolution, without a return call and without a letter.

    My opinion: terrible loser union bank wouldn’t honor its own bank check. I even gave them a copy of my deceased relative death certificate. The teller and manager told me either open an account or have The Gas Company reissue the check to my name. Ridiculous and nonsense. The check is good and the money is sitting in the bank. Just cash my check. I came here because it has your bank name on it. How about honoring your own bank check.

    I used to love union bank. Great service. No unseen hassles. Unfortunately, over the last few months they’ve been putting two week holds on my checks. Every time. The teller told me that after the first new check from my business account at Wells Fargo I should be good. Three checks later it still happened. This time the teller, a middle aged woman in glasses with horrible customer service, tried finding any excuse she could from where I deposited the check to where I opened my account 8 years ago. I asked to close my account because I cannot come into the branch every time this happens. The service was horrible this time as well. Really ruined my whole morning. They do not know how to treat a loyal customer and small business owner. Taking my business to Wells Fargo today.
